I'm going to end this discussion as you seem so out of touch with reality (patent filings, hires, etc) that there's no sense in talking to you.

I'd love to hear about these mysterious patent filings but I'm guessing you gave up just in time.

The quality of these China bands is very good. so good that I really have to wonder what you pay the extra 1100 something $ for.
Im sure if you look really close there will be some difference in leather quality but apart from that the work put in is about the same?
I have seen expensive leather watchbands and the copys have it all apart from the fancy name that still not justifies the price.

The quality of leather really is different. You might not see any difference now, but wear it daily for, say, five years, and there will be a huge difference.

Also, I haven't seen any of the Chinese knock offs in person, but I did try on a Hermes watch band, and it was the most comfortable watch band I've ever worn. I somehow doubt that the Chinese bands would feel as good. On the one hand, I'm tempted to buy one just to try it and see. On the other hand, I feel like there is no need to waste money confirming something I'm 90% sure about anyway.
