If it's thin, stylish and has an Apple logo on it most wouldn't care if it was a buffalo chip inside.
Hmmm....I would like to see quad-core MacBook Pros in the very near future...hopefully this issue won't cause any delays.
I'm looking to buy my first ever Mac in the form of a MacBook Pro, and I'm not prepared to buy one until the latest round of updates has been released. I hope Apple pull their finger out with this one!
I am also interested in buying my first ever MBP, but am not very happy about waiting. I'm afraid to be one of those people that buys it in January, then find out that they are coming out with a new MBP a month later that blows it out of the water. Apple really needs to step it up and make a decision on what they are going to do and fast. It's not fair to keep us waiting!!
Maybe Apple is waiting for AMD Danube platform with Phenom II "Champlain" processors?
AMD's mobile platform is a joke except for their IGP solutions.Any further Phenom release are just Hertz tweaks. If Apple were going to use anythiong from AMD it would be the Turion II or whenever the FUSION chips come out.

I haven't been paying much attention to this new Intel release given it's just dual core, but are the (crappy) graphics actually part of the CPU die, or just packaged together?
Either way, what a complete waste of silicon. I assume if they're actually part of the die, tons of companies are going to be stuck buying worthless silicon that gets used in systems with GPUs...space that should be used for more CPU resources, whether execution hardware or cache.
Given Nvidia's lowest end, several years old stuff destroys Intel's best in every conceivable way, and costs next to nothing compared to the price of even a cheap PC...
EDIT: What stinks is this would be a perfect time for me to order a new notebook, but between Intel's new CPUs and Apple's iSlate next month, I'm torn between getting something now that works for sure, and waiting to see if there's something better, but not knowing if it has issues (and having it be a pain to get shipped) next month :-/
Two dies on the same package.I haven't been paying much attention to this new Intel release given it's just dual core, but are the (crappy) graphics actually part of the CPU die, or just packaged together?
