It needs the new Moon Sensor 😂How is the Tides App not offered on prior generation AWs?
Hi. Me. I’m the problem. It’s me.
I find it more odd that people would buy a fitness and sleep tracker only to see notifications on their wrist. Cn they not go a few minutes without seeing that super duper important email with new funko pop releases?Do people actually wear a watch at night ?
Yeah it’s kind of ridiculous given how expensive it was. It was released just two years ago and they’re already deliberately holding back features from a flagship, premium device? That’s really weakWait, so none of this will be available on the UW1?
False. Most of these features are in no way cpu/gpu taxing. Don’t get duped into believing thatWhat dumb negative comment. The UW1 does not have the S9 chip necessary to implement these features.
Why? I don’t feel like mine is. It still lasts through the night until I go to charge it after getting up. It isn’t slow or anything either & the inclusion of SA detection isn’t a big enough justification for it, seeing as my AW S6 SS with AC+ cost me around £800.My S6 AW is gonna give up any time. An upgrade to Aw ultra2 or even S10 will be great update.
That’s cool, I am not in a rush, but I have my own priorities on what is big or not. Why? I don’t feel like mine is. It still lasts through the night until I go to charge it after getting up. It isn’t slow or anything either & the inclusion of SA detection isn’t a big enough justification for it, seeing as my AW S6 SS with AC+ cost me around £800.
I may get a new battery for mine
Bigger, better, newer, faster (Flanders & Swann c1960).🤔It’s like why even bother upgrading to the S10?!
They excluded the Ultra 1 because it has an SiP that doesn't have the required ML performance that the S9/U2 have. It's not a conspiration to get your money. So Apple excluded the original Ultra just to force people to upgrade? Tim is such a greedy SOB.
When Apple do things like this I find it a bit of an insult to loyal Apple users.Crazy if they make the action button improvements exclusive to the Ultra 2. this would really leave a bitter taste in my mouth.
Same for me. I let it track my sleep. I charge it in the morning when I am in the shower and it’s usually almost full charge by the time I am ready to put it on.I do! It gets most of its use helping me track my sleep.
There is no way it could ever work on the ultra 1. Don’t be ridiculous. s/Wait, so none of this will be available on the UW1?
Aside from having a battery that actually lasts all day and a screen that doesn’t scratch, for me the main difference is it’s an excellent dive computer. Much easier to see at all times than the one connected to my first stage.I don't get the appeal of the Apple Watch Ultra. Are there really that many "athletes" / outdoor people? Like who the hell wants to be in "nature" more?
Actually, this feature works based on the accelerometer in the watch, and the UW1 has one of those. While the S9 chip might deliver better performance/watt than the S8 in UW1, technically they can still back-port it to UW1 from a hardware availability pov. What dumb negative comment. The UW1 does not have the S9 chip necessary to implement these features.
I want to use it for flashlight but I found myself activating it accidentally all the time. The new feature to hold the Action button to switch functionalities is nice. I find it most useful mapped to flashlight – especially since you can also adjust the brightness up and down by rolling the crown. I use it all the time around the house.
Why are you so bitter, insulted and imagining things? If you kept yourself properly informed, you would know that the Action Button improvements work perfectly on an Ultra One.When Apple do things like this I find it a bit of an insult to loyal Apple users.
I own an Ultra 1… it’s a fantastic watch…especially in looks compared to a standard Apple Watch.
But sometimes I think I invested in a completely new product with an Ultra tag associated with it and all i get software wise aesthetically is a few extra Watchfaces.
It's on my Ultra OneHow is the Tides App not offered on prior generation AWs?
