I don’t know why you’re giving me attitude. This is what this thread is all about. I was just giving the current status of my situation.

sorry. Didn’t mean it that way. Just the frustration of this whole thing showing I guess. Lesson learned for next year.

My trade-in was received on 9/30. It’s still in the “inspecting your device” status. I purchased the new unlocked phone outright and I expect the trade-in amount to be applied to the credit card used for the purchase.

Apparently, the 3 day turnaround is not happening. I’m currently at day 5. However, I’m not too concerned about it, I’m sure that they will get to it eventually. I was much more anxious about waiting for my new phone to arrive. ;)

If they reject your phone via inspection, will they return the phone to you?
Sounds like they will, but have no idea about actual 'turnaround' time, might have to call or online chat to ask about that-

"If the condition of the device is different from what you described, we’ll provide a revised value. You can either accept or reject it. If you accept it, we’ll continue with the trade-in and either charge or credit the difference in value to the card you provided. If you reject it, we’ll cancel the trade-in, return your old device, and charge the original trade-in value to your card. No matter what, we’ll send you email updates about the progress of your trade-in, so you’ll know what’s happening at every step."

Mine which was delivered 9/26 was just approved also. Looks like they are finally pushing through since many others are seeing same thing.

Never received an email but went to my order and it was finalized for the estimated $400. Will wait impatiently for the credit. Lol.

I’m at Day 7 of inspection. I’m guessing they got slammed.
I got an email late last night that my trade-in (*not* IUP) was accepted and that the funds would be applied to my payment method within 5 days. Took 8 days from the time the partner received my trade-in to completing the inspection. Also, I was refunded the full amount quoted in the process. Hope this helps some who are still in limbo.

I just got the approval email too. They gave me the full $600 for my XS Max (which was already credited toward the Apple Payments on my new phone), plus they're mailing me an Apple Store gift card for an additional $60. Is that because the $600 is for a 64 GB phone and mine was 256 GB? Or is it a sales tax refund (sales tax here is 10%)?

Since this is a third party vendor providing services for Apple, I wonder if there's some way to register feedback about much slower than expected turnaround times (other than posting in this forum). I think Apple does value customer experience and I'm pretty sure they would not be OK with the sort of delays that you all encountered.
