Integrated GPU in the A12Z.
Since the A12X was about on par graphically to a Xbox One S, this would be about 15-20% more powerful.
I like how during the Virtualization feature demo, they only mention Linux and not Windows. As a full stack web developer, I need all environments, so it makes me nervous. Need more info before deciding if I'm going to make the jump to their silicon or begrudgingly transition my primary machine to a PC. Here's hoping...

MacBook Pro with an A14Z is going to absolutely crush Intel, and have far better battery life. Can’t wait.
Intel mac sales are gonna tank badly. Who would buy into a dead platform ?

Can I ask why? They seemed to have covered their bases pretty well in not breaking compatibility.
They were demoing those apps on a maxed out Mac Pro. Of COURSE it's going to scroll smoothly. Would be pretty scary if it didn't on one of those beasts. What about a lesser, more realistic machine?
Bootcamp was native x86-64 so no.
Likely because they are still going to use Intel for Mac Pro and other product lines while they shake out all the issues. If they move their entire product line over at once, and there are issues, well, that's a big chunk of lost revenue to worry about.
Not that I think there will be issues: I was very reassured by that presentation.

That mac mini running a A12Z will probably trounce the current mini just because of the graphics (pounding Intel graphics into dust).
I expect a purpose-built A-series desktop processor to be much much much faster. Speed cranked, heat-sinked, cooled, etc.
It's gonna be fun.
Oh... and in before the complainers. I'm not complainin'.

The choice of processors in 2021 could present a challenge for consumers making purchase decisions.

Same. Was about drop $2k on one for my daughter's graduation gift. Now idk. I wouldn’t expect it to be usable 6/7 years later like my current one.
Well, despite the rumours, that was a surprise. I didn't expect them go all in and drop Intel completely. Will be interesting to see how good 3rd party adoption really is.

To me it seems it was their own integrated GPU (as it was demoed on Mac Mini it is the same as using Intel's iGPU). But I also wonder whether machines like 16" MBP and iMac will use AMD GPUs or only Apple own silicon.
