Well, they just showed off the ones that also have a paid version to them.

Not quite. They showed 98 of the lite/free ones that also have a paid version to them.

If you search for "Lite" in the app store, you'll see there are far more than 98 of these apps.

Sometimes, common sense and Apple just don't make the greatest pair. This forum has shown me that numerous times.

Limiting the number of times to open it doesn't work.... Multitaskig would make it too easy to keep an app open. I'm all for an extensive refund process. It weeds ou the people that really want their money back, to those who are just trying to cheat the system.

If stores like Best Buy and GNC didn't have such good return policies, then I guarantee you they'd lose a good chunk of customers. Not enough to go out of business, but enough to notice a dent. There are tons of people out there who would rather save themselves the .99 cents or more then risk spending their money on something that doesn't work.

Apple is probably concerned about abuse of the return policy, but again if it works as the user was told it would, then why the hell would you return it?

On a side note, I know it's only 99 pennies in most cases we are talking about but if I ever went into a store with a sign "Buyers Beware: All Sales are FINAL!" I'd walk out just as quick as I came in.

If you could beat a game in less than a day, I think that says a lot about the app.

The best thing you can do before buying the app is search on YouTube for a video demonstration on it.

I disagree. There is many great games on xbox360/ps3 etc that can easily be finished in a day. Most games are 10-15 hours long. Depending on skill and how you play.

So an iPhone game isn't 60 bucks, therefore I can't expect a super long game from a 1-10$ price tag.

Haha, I know what you mean... But there's one thing wrong with your thinking. This is the Internet refund vs. The go outside and drive however many miles to get to the store and return it just to drive back to your house-- refund. Take me for example; I have been looking for good side protectors for my iP4. Then I was told about the Best Buy Zagg promotional offer. Had they offered that same deal online, I would have gotten it in a heart beat. But it's only for those who walk in store and get it. I have yet to get mine. Zagg and Best Buy are banking on the lazy person who would otherwise order it online but are not going to go in store. That's why they can afford to do it.

no....stop thinking about "time limits". make it how many times the user LOADS the app. give the user...say...3 times to load it before a confirmation prompts them.

So I could just press the lock button on my phone after opening it once and never close it untill I have completed it? Then get a full refund afterwards?

I reckon an hour demo for games and the open/close system for apps like 'brushes' would work alot better.

EDIT: Just thought this was me thinking from a pre 4.0 perspective, with multitasking you would never have to close any app.

True. I've worked in retail before and I can't tell you how many times I've had someone else besides the person who purchased it come and return the item. Point is that given the option to not have to explain why they are returning it, be it truth or not, people would definitely be more for returning things. I completely agree.

Also with the Best Buy thing, I guess the one over by me isn't giving them away to just anyone. You have to bring in your proof of purchase or have them look it up for you to get it for free.

muli-tasking only works if the developer codes it in. they don't have to code mult-tasking in.

I agree some apps are definitely a rip off.

I concur. However even the worst apps are crucial in helping Apple maintain bragging rights for "most apps". That's more important to fanboys than functionality. It's also crucial in assisting Apple in it's never ending quest for obscene profit off the backs of it's customers.
