Apple TV 2 - no Apple content plays?

I have a couple 2nd Genration Apple TV's, and one 3rd generation. Everything is working fine on the ATV3, but all of the sudden, I can't play any movies or TV shows in the 2nd generation units. I've tried playing them streamed from our Computers, and I've tried playing Purchased movies in the Movies app. The little wheel just spins and spins and spins...

Has Apple removed the ability to play Apple-purchased content on the Apple TV 2? Or am I missing something here? All the Apple TVs have up-to-date software.

I have exactly the opposite problem. My iTunes content plays fine. Nothing else works.

Well, two hours later, and everything is working as it was. I'm able to watch all of my content again. Very strange.
