Has anyone updated to 9.0.1 to see if it has fixed home sharing? I won't be home until later to test.

I'm updated and notice the issue as well. I can tell this is an issue on how it buffers video not because of the connection. I'm playing movies directly off my Mac mini through the computer app, and also I've air played them to the Apple TV from the Mac with the same results. On the atv3, it would pull as much of the video it has space for because I've noticed if I paused in the past, there would be a ton if not all of the movie available to skip ahead quickly without rebuffering. When the atv4 stops playing, I can see it has no video stored, so it's not downloading as much as it should.

We probably need a programmer to rip open the 9.0.1 code and see what change to the code in how it buffers compared to the previous gen, that will probably give us some sort of answer.

Quite silly though, the main purpose is to stream video and its having problems with that, something that worked fine in a gen half its price. There is quite an amount of unmitigated issues with this gen out the door (no remote app, no Bluetooth keyboard support, remote won't train with many receiver's volume).

Still an issue with 9.01 over Wireless and Ethernet so I'm returning mine today. Got till Friday to return but the stuttering issues when streaming have made my mind up. If I could guarantee it would be fixed by an upcoming software update I would keep it but I don't want to go past the return period and be left with a box that is incapable of streaming. I will revisit it in the future if it is fixed by an update. No word yet if it is addressed in 9.1.

I was streaming iTunes movies from my Mac Mini and found this to happen so I decided to stream directly from the cloud instead and the stuttering stopped. Its supposed to be the other way round really. #stupidbuffering
