I thought UKMail had a call center? Maybe I'm wrong, the only thing I can think of now is have UKMail actually got your parcel, or is it a error at Apple's end?

Dispatched last night. UKmail has no info for my tracking number. Expected delivery 2nd November when i can just walk into an Apple store and pick one up today. Very, very annoying.

If you have expected delivery 2nd it will dispatched Saturday/Sunday night.

Depends commercials business at 17:00

Residential could be like 20:00, they cant go back to the depot at say 17:00 with 30 stops left and say I'm done. They finish when all the stops can be done (obviously bringing back any stops they couldn't be completed)
 
Got mine 2:45,right within the estimate; my 8 yr old tracked the van on my phone ha ha good fun. Have to say so far deeply impressed, leaps and bounds in use ability over v3 looking forward to HomeKit apps and might finally pull the trigger on a doorbell/camera...

Not happening today, I reckon, even if the Apple site is still saying "Delivery: 30 October"

Anyone know what the chances of UKMail delivering on a Saturday are..?
 
My 32GB ATV order (1pm Monday) has FINALLY "Dispatched" with DPD (after 30 hours preparing for dispatch). Text message says it delivers Monday 2nd (nobody at home then). This is in the delivery window I was given (30 Oct-3 Nov) but I'm narked that people who ordered late Monday afternoon got their's today - some pretty crap logistics from Syncreon.

The reviews elsewhere on MacRumors are mixed. I will probably play with it for a few days then send it back for a refund and keep my options open on the 64GB model if some killer app comes out.

If you don't mind me asking, would it not have been better to test in-store? Rather then waiting for it come then sending it back wait for payments etc?

No, I don't mind you asking. The nearest store is over an hour away (drive or train), so it's not that easy for me to test in-store. I also enjoy getting Apple products on launch day and being one of the first to explore a new product (other than the iPhone 5S, most of my Apple toys have arrived on launch day). Having missed out on that part of the purchase experience with the new ATV and now having seen the mixed reviews I'm a lot less enthusiastic about the gen 4 ATV so I'm inclined to stick with my gen 3 for now.

keep open mind. it is a very big improvement over ATV3. few more days perhaps but will be worth the wait.

Mine was delivered an hour ago, only for the missus to text me now to let me know :confused:
Had an email off Apple to let me know my controller has finally despatched and will be with me on Monday :)

Now to pack up and get ready to leave work, have fun if you've got yours, or get yours over the weekend :D:D
 
dpd updated my tracking to ''Your parcel has been relabelled to continue its journey''. So no joy for the weekend
 
The UK Mail web site still shows my Apple TV as "Out For Delivery". Its now 7:38 PM so I hope they are working late :)
 
UKMail were terrible for me on iPhone6 release day last year... was out for delivery from 8am... I waited at work til 8pm and it didn't appear.
When I checked their status page, it said the driver had attempted delivery and returned back to depot and checked-in at 7.50pm.
Needless to say I was pretty annoyed!!

In other news, ATV4 set-up and running. There's a very welcome overall speed-boost in general use with UI.
 
DPD tried to deliver mine today but I'm abroad and there was no one else at home to accept delivery. I've requested re-delivery for Monday as their depot is too far for me and I can't guarantee the neighbours will be in. Hopefully I can make sure someone will be in on Monday.

Double click the tv button, then all open apps display like they do on an iPhone and you can dismiss them with a flick...
 
My UK Mail delivery status just changed at 9:30 PM from "Out for delivery" to "Please Call". Something must have gone wrong, I have been in all day :(

Quite interesting that the UK Mail site now shows "Please Call", but the Apple site actually shows more detail "Address Verification Required - please contact the carrier to confirm". I guess for some reason they couldn't find my house? All the other things I have ordered from Apple have arrived fine.

Well I had to leave for work at 2:20, guess what time frame of delivery I got, 2:20-3:20. Upstairs kindly too it in, only just finished work now and they aren't answering. Looks like I'm waiting until tomorrow.
 
Package arrived at Thames Valley warehouse. I would be willing to go and collect but they don't allow you. So I have to wait until Monday, ahhhh. Hope everyone is enjoying their ATV's
 
Mine eventually arrived 15 minutes after the delivery window, and the DPD driver was trying to deliver it 6 doors down, without success. Eventually realised he had the wrong number. :confused:

Anyway, all set up and it's great! I have 3 3rd gen Apple TVs on other TVs around the house and it seems so weird going back to using the other ones! I'd replace them all with the new Apple TV if they weren't so damn expensive!

I went to my local UKMail and chanced it and was able to pick it up! Woo
 
Ended up in the Apple store at the Oracle Reading, they had SHED loads of new Apple TV's - seriously no reason to pre order. UK Mail are suppose to deliver tomorrow fingers crossed for my Apple TV turning up.
