I doubt this will be read, but just as a datapoint for alllllll the naysayers in this thread who said it would never need to be done, my A2540 Apple Siri Remote will no longer charge.

Thanks to iFixit, I can -access- the battery to replace it, however there is no way to purchase a replacement battery that I can find, anywhere.

Sure, I can buy a refurbished/used AppleTV that includes a remote as a replacement (I already have), but it sure would be nice to fix this otherwise e-waste which still has plenty of useful life left.

If someone knows of a place to buy this (or a compatible) battery, please reply with that information.

Edit: A thumbs down from one of the naysayers themselves. What exactly is there to disagree with? It’s OK that you were wrong. Millions of these batteries were produced, it’s a shame they cannot be purchased.
