I didn't know captive network support wasn't included on the latest models. I've had a few generations of Apple TV, but haven't had any of the most recent ones. I've moved to Firestick, only because they're so small and lightweight. I travel with one and have never had an issue with captive networks; it just works. Yeah, the navigation is a bit kludgy when authenticating at a hotel, but it plain works and takes up almost no room in my suitcase.

I can only speak of the app on the LG platform or the firestick and I’ve never had any problems. As I’ve said, I use physical 4K ATVs in my lounge and office but use the app on the LG tvs in my dining room and gym room.
Yes, I agree with the atv app but not the others. Like Hulu and ESPN+ always seem to have “problems” and I have to quit them and restart. Almost never on the Apple TV 4k

Odd. I have had every version as well. Never experienced this issues unless loading my movie list. Apple doesn't like people with large libraries.
I'd agree. It's like they penalize you for actually using their products and services.

The Photos app (60,000 photos) is basically unusable and my Movies and TV Shows (several hundred don't know where to get a current count) is doggedly slow.

Netflix and HBO seem to work pretty well, Disney+ performance is horrendous.

Captive portal support is big for travelers! Makes the ATV useful in a lot more places. It's about time Apple figured out people need that.
Hey Guys,

Did anyone figure out how to get this feature working? There’s no bridge alert on my phone, when I connect to wifi at hotel after updated to 15.4?
