The next episode of Apple TV+'s award-winning sci-fi series "Silo" will be released early.

Apple previously announced that new "Silo" episodes would be released on Fridays, but the third episode of the second season will instead be released on Wednesday, November 27. Apple has likely bumped up the date so that people can watch the episode during the U.S. Thanksgiving holiday on Thursday, November 28.

As astute Apple TV+ viewers know, this actually means the episode should be available to watch as early as Tuesday, November 26 at 9 p.m. Eastern Time.

"Silo" follows the last 10,000 people on Earth, all of whom live in a massive underground bunker to escape the seemingly toxic and deadly world outside. The people are unaware of why the silo was built, and those who seek the truth face deadly consequences. Rebecca Ferguson stars as Juliette Nichols, an engineer who attempts to unravel the mysteries surrounding the silo following a loved one's murder. The sci-fi series is based on Hugh Howey's best-selling book series. Ferguson and Howey both serve as executive producers.

Apple TV+ costs $9.99 per month or $99 per year in the U.S., and the streaming service is also included in all Apple One subscription bundles.

Anybody stumble across a good Season 1 recap video? My memory is garbage and I always like to have a refresher if it's been a while. Thanks!

I'm not a big fan of these studios stringing viewers along with one episode a week. Disney does this and it kind of speaks to the volume of good content they have, or really the lack thereof. Netflix and Prime just dump the whole season when it hits, they don't even need to string anyone along, viewers pay their fees and never look back. There's so little content I want from Apple (and Disney) that I wait until whatever I want is full released, then watch it within one month. Instead of $10 for four episodes, I get the whole season for the same price. Yes, I'm cheap, but I need these small victories in life.

I want them to release Snoopy for free early. And forever. The classic holiday episodes, anyway.

It took me 3 times to start season 1. When I finally gave it the attention it deserved, I loved it. I’m holding off on season 2 until a majority of the episodes are available. I prefer the binge style watching of shows. Looking forward to season 2, but I‘ll be waiting until Christmas time to get started.

They have trained us to not be able to keep track of these sometimes complex plots when they are strung out over time. They literally invented binge watching and then took it back.

And on the flip side, sometimes if I have to wait a long time, when I come back I realize that I don't care about this show anymore and just stop watching.

I agree though, it's not even about being cheap. Sometimes it's both cheapest and best to just wait for it to finish and then buy it outright.

The bigger problem for me is how they've managed to separate out the things I want into different subscriptions so it's extra hard to rotate.

Nice. Even though I never start a new series until all the episodes are out. I find it baffling that some people can’t wait and actually.. like waiting a week for each episode? The downside is that networks often decide whether to renew a series before the final episodes have aired, which is such a wrong business decision

Netflix split Cobra Kai season 6 into two halves, and obviously the first half ended on a cliffhanger. So I think even Netflix is slowly moving away (or at least experimenting with moving away) from the dump it all at once and binge it model.

What they don't want is users binging a show and then cancelling at the end of the month. They want to string you along as you're have a good reason to keep the service around from one month to the next.

That said, I also prefer to just watch shows at my own pace. I feel no pressure to watch stuff as soon as it's released. I can wait until all the episodes are out, or even months later.

I still don’t like the whole season spreading out over weeks and weeks. Just give me the season, and let me watch at my own pace
You’re free to wait until it’s all out and binge it then!

Doing it this way maintains interest over a much longer period of time and allows for a better social experience since you have time to discuss and theorize with other people and you don’t have to worry as much about asking “What episode are you on, now let me remember what happened up to that point so I don’t spoil things for you"

This way is the best of all worlds. Everyone can have what they want. Bingers just have to wait a bit.

You should beg Apple to insert ads every 10 minutes or so for you "mature" viewers to really take you back in time ;) 🤣
I doubt that that’s that long in coming to be honest. These paid with ads subscriptions are the norm and I doubt Apple will want to miss out on offering a premium tier making us pay an extra fiver a month to not have ads.

Three that’s in a row.

Wasn’t good enough for me. Episode 1 was simple but 2 was in the thick of things and I watched a longer recap afterward from a Youtuber that helped much more.
Could you post a link to your recap please?

Could be a weekly affair IF you choose to make it one. Forcing it is just annoying.

Could be binge-watched IF you choose to make it that way by waiting until the whole season has aired, no point in forcing it just because you can't delay your gratification :)
