Netflix and Prime just dump the whole season when it hits...There's so little content I want from Apple (and Disney) that I wait until whatever I want is full released, then watch it within one month. Instead of $10 for four episodes, I get the whole season for the same price. Yes, I'm cheap, but I need these small victories in life.

I don't watch Netflix as much, but I know that's not the case on every show. And definitely not on Prime. Rings of Power (their most expensive endeavor) was a weekly release. Jack Ryan was as well, at least the later seasons were.

I definitely get being cheap, though, and wanting small victories! :)

I'm not a big fan of these studios stringing viewers along with one episode a week. Disney does this and it kind of speaks to the volume of good content they have, or really the lack thereof. Netflix and Prime just dump the whole season when it hits, they don't even need to string anyone along, viewers pay their fees and never look back. Seems to me that Apple is providing the best of both worlds, depending on what type of viewer you are.

1st season was great! This season, though early, is missing a lot of what made the first season so good. It feels….blah. Hope it picks up in e3.
The big mystery is, well, gone; its is turning into more of a run-of-the-mill dystopian survival story. As you wrote hopeful, maybe a new mystery will be uncovered that keeps us glued (what about the water reservoirs, tunnels, and doors)?

Will the same fate happen to Severance?

Could be a weekly affair IF you choose to make it one. Forcing it is just annoying.
Many people do chose that and started watching, and you are not forced since you can binge in 8 weeks. Don't tell me you can't wait 8 weeks to binge, almost like some people that cannot wait to start right away and watch it once a week.

It took me 3 times to start season 1. When I finally gave it the attention it deserved, I loved it. I’m holding off on season 2 until a majority of the episodes are available. I prefer the binge style watching of shows. Looking forward to season 2, but I‘ll be waiting until Christmas time to get started.
I'm watching week to week, but I usually do the binge thing after there are some episodes in the queue. I sometimes have to wait for the last couple of episodes.

For this show I have read the books, I may not remember what happens next, but I know what happens in general, so the cliffhangers aren't so intense.

The first season blindsided us by killing off the central characters in the first episode. Then killing off the new central characters in episode 2. After that, it was a lot like season 2 so far. Plenty of flashbacks and some scenes of Juliet dangling at the end of a rope. People were complaining about the pace of it.

So is it only an early release for US subscribers, or everyone around the world? That's not made clear in the article. Link to the original source?

My subscription just expired, always yearly plan since the beginning, now too many subscriptions that overlap content so only YT TV, Amazon Prime, and free Peacock for now. I’ll binge at end of seasons for a month. I actually watch more Tubi than anything else.

Note that the article's reference to "Silo" being based on Hugh Howey's book series doesn't tell you that the three-book series is actually called "Wool" after the title of its first book, followed by "Shift" (a prequel) and "Dust".

Common is the worst actor on the planet. He has one facial expression.
I laughed at your post, but am genuinely curious what people expect from him playing the character he does?

that’s like expecting a security guard or officer to have different facial expressions I feel like. he’s judicial. very serious, very mysterious.

idk. I know it’s all opinion, but I just personally haven’t had an issue with his acting in this and find it hard to see what it would be.

Agreed - yes, he doesn't show a wide range of emotions, but he's (thus far) playing a character who doesn't show a wide range of emotions. Moreover, the character he's playing has a strong need to appear in public as stoic, authoritative, and uncompromising. I didn't have any problems with Common's acting here (I've not seen him in anything else). I found the character interesting to watch, and was never expecting to see him go skipping down a hallway singing songs and telling jokes.
