I like that they give shows time to grow instead of dropping and switching a la netflix. There is so much in development if you check the wikis that I expect by the end of the year their release schedule will not be much behind Netflix in quantity. And from what they did so far, at a usually higher quality. There is then the question about having a big back catalog, well how important is that really?

I don't think so. There's a loooong way to go to catch up with Netflix, Amazon, and Disney. Apple are unlikely to grow to that size with original content alone. But of course, growth by acquisition is always a possibility!
when that time comes, they will complain apple using their monopoly.. blah blah blah...
🤣🤣🤣

I'm excited for this show. I was disappointed when I read all the critic reviews, but the shows actually became one of my favorite on TV+. That has taught me a big lesson to go by audience review scores rather than critic scores from now on. Critics think nothing like I do, and have none of the same sensibilities and sensitivities that normal people (like myself) have. I feel they are so out of touch.

I felt this show was trying too hard...after three or four episodes it started to bore me. Does it get better later?
You do realize your opinion is entirely subjective and asking others if a show you clearly don’t like “gets better“ is somewhat pointless. ”See” is not my favourite  TV+ show but I pushed through because I know many of the crew, it being shot in Canada. I never got to love the show but I kind of got used to it. For what it is worth if YOU did not like the first four episodes I doubt you are going to find it gets better. But then, that is my subjective opinion.

And to all of those people complaining it is taking too long for 2nd seasons please let me remind you there was this thing called a pandemic going on. Production takes a couple hundred people working closely together for months on end and this needs to be done safely. It took the industry some time to figure out how to do this once they were allowed to even consider it. Understandably. And then there is post-production where remote screenings create their own difficulties.

So enough already with people complaining about Apple taking too long to produce second seasons. The entire industry is in the same boat. Forget that, the entire world was has been going through the pandemic.

You can’t blame a pandemic on the poor quality of the show. It’s awful, and the writing is horrible.

The article referred to Apple as "The streaming giant". While Apple has great streaming shows, it has not quite reached "giant" status.
I think the service is a sleeping giant that will awaken by the end of the year with huge growth potential with word of mouth and being included in Apple One bundles. I think people will appreciate the quality over quantity approach. Obviously Netflix will always be king with Disney right behind them.

Let’s really put all of this into perspective with global subscriber counts based on recent company reports and analyst estimates.

Disney+ 103 million

HBO MAX 63 million

Peacock 42 million

Hulu 41 million

Paramount+, Showtime, and BET+ 36 million

Starz 15 million

I tried to get the most accurate information I could for these guys. Its possible I’m off on the numbers. Now Apple doesn’t give out their numbers so all we can do is go off of analyst estimates for Apple TV+

Apple TV+ at end of 2020 was estimated at 40 million subscribers by an analyst.

The analyst does not give an estimate for 2021. It’s estimated that 62% of that 40 million is on a promotional plan. That means it’s possible that just shy of 25 million Apple TV+ subscriptions are on a paid plan. Again this is just an estimate from an analyst. Another analyst could have totally different number. But if this is accurate I think Apple is doing a good job and has a good path to success.

We know at least 90 shows, limited series or movies are currently in development or in production. And it’s looking like Apple will have a new release almost every Friday June-August. Not sure about fall and winter yet. But they have a lot of potential and this service is a few years out before we can consider it a failure. Keep the faith. It’s going to be great.

Apple TV+ has announced that season two of its popular original series "See" starring Jason Momoa will premiere on August 27, with new episodes releasing every Friday. The streaming giant also announced that it has renewed the show for a third season, Variety reports.

"See" follows Jason Momoa, Alfre Woodard, and Dave Bautista through a post-apocalyptic drama where a virus has cleared out the world, and all the remaining men, women, and children have been made blind. Alongside other Apple TV+ originals such as "The Morning Show" and "Ted Lasso," the show has been one of the most popular for the streaming service.

Apple today also shared the official trailer for the upcoming season two of "See" which will premiere on August 27.

I’m so happy this is getting a 3rd season. Apple shows are so under appreciated. People are acting like other streaming services have nothing but amazing shows and movies. Apple has a solid production value so far. Something for everyone.

anyways, I really like the look of season2. It’s more of a samurai vibe. While the first one gave off more of a Vikings vibes. They are keeping the show fresh. You can tell the production value went up. You don’t see much action in the trailer because it gets violent. They don’t wanna make a red band trailer. Which is fine with me.

I can’t wait for this , Invasion, Foundation, Ted Lasso S2. Apple is killing it. 🙌🏻👌🏻

Yeah..subjective opinion is what I was looking for :)

I loved it too. It shows how reading reviews and other's impressions doesn't predict what you are going to like. Been waiting patiently for Season 2 to drop.

I really enjoyed season 1. i Would like the story to finish at some point, rather than just fail to be renewed after an end of season cliff hanger. But at least we have season 3 to look forward to.

Netflix certainly does that. But other streaming networks have been known to fund a wrap-up when they cancel a series.

I got quite into it during the second half (took me a fair few episodes to get past my feelings of "there's no way they could do that"). Season 2 seems to be taking forever!
I still have issues with "it's utterly implausible that the human race isn't extinct".
