Apple TV+ Series 'Foundation' and 'The Problem With Jon Stewart' Premiering in September

I will be canceling at the end of June, but will probably come back in October to catch up on some shows. Maybe get a month once every 5-6 months. Just don't need yet another monthly hit all year round.

Worried about faithfulness to the books for "Foundation". Just checked - the person meeting Seldon (Gaal Dornick in the book) was male. So of course it had to be changed to a non-white female to check off the political correctness box.

They had it going for them that the race of most characters could not be determined from the text; they didn't need to change genders too. Granted there were less prominent females than males in the series, there were some.

I probably watch it too but won't be extending my 1 year free trial. The navigation on TV+ is horrible. I've watched all of season one of Mosquito Coast and TV+ still has episode 4 in my up next queue!!!
Why so different from regular Apple TV. Also, I don't have HBO so why do I want things from HBO showingup in my suggestions!

+1 for Foundation. I am so bloody jazzed! And it had to be a series. A movie wouldn’t've been enough. And Jared Harris is fantastic. Watch Chernobyl if you don’t know who he is.

Hey maybe the dude is an "ist" or a "phobe" you don't know and neither do I. Maybe like many other people he is tired of all this forced diversity for the sake of Hollywood fake virtue signaling at the expense of things people love. There was no reason to gender swap, race swap other than pandering to a loud obnoxious group of pretty despicable people. Have you considered that?

People are getting sick of it not of diversity, the entertainment audience has been pretty clear, make good entertaining stories and stop this hamfisted, check the boxes forced diversity stuff it's obvious what is being done and none of it is for entertainment.

From what I've seen even the groups that are being pandered to do not appreciate it and recognize they are being used and in many cases tokenized rather than being part of a story.

So, yeah keep on with these automatic insulting people you don't know rather than really understanding what is being said. And, keep on blaming the failures of these movies and television shows on the wrong thing, that is the perfect way to keep failing.
