But a true Apple aficionado would want to pay more so that Apple makes a bigger profit.

I disagree. An Apple fan might accept to pay a little bit more because he/she can enjoy and benefit more from the eco system's convenient uses and technologies that don't comefrom other competitors. And I see absolutely nothing wrong with that? Pricing of digital goods today have more emphasis with the services and eco systems.

That said, I think Apple's prices are competitively priced, if we're talking about everything in the iTunes store from music to movies to books. Personally, I save big using discounted iTunes Gift cards at Best Buy, and nice cash back rewards from my Credit card, so I usually save more than other competing services.

How did this thread turned to an apple tv vs xbox 360

I was thinking the same thing.

hahaha, you still got it wrong! And I suggest you read mate before replying: As it burns through more electricity than a 1950's refrigerator....

Do you see the Apple TV mentioned in that statement? No? I didn't think so.......

That was the point of my post... Using an Xbox360 exclusively for video playback is a huge waste of power. If you have it for gaming already that is one thing, but to tout it as a great video streamer, not so much.

Because if any good thing is said about an Apple product a non Apple product must be thrust into the thread and held out as the obviously better alternative.

So let me get this straight: people are complaining 'cause they gotta change the input on their tv's to access AT?. lol Didn't know pushing a button was so hard. In my set-up every connection runs into the TV then one audio cable to the av receiver. So when you change the input on the tv, it doesn't matter about the sound since the receiver can do all audio formats and will select the appropriate one.

MLB.TV app on the ATV is da bomb and nothing on the market touches Airplay if you have an Apple eco system.
