I really wanted to love the show. I liked Silicon Valley and The Big Bang Theory, but for me, none of the characters are actually lovable! Even after one season, I don't really care about them. I find each episode ends on a flat note. There's never that little piece of uplifting truth that makes it worth your time. I'll watch the special cause I still want to like the show, but...

Okay, that’s multiple layers of fun and a fun promo for iPhones.

Did not know going in to this year that Seth Meyers would be shot on an iPad Pro and The Tonight Show in an iPhone.

Has the Tonight Show shown their at-home recording set-up? I don't watch any of them, but I'd love to see how they're doing it.

Couldn’t get past the first episode. It was like a weaker version of Silicon Valley, and that show wasn’t that good.

Read some other comments. Seems like I should give it another go.

I love my iPhone and it does take very good pictures for a phone, but...what is the fascination with filming a show on a phone? Just because you can do something doesn't mean it really makes sense to, other than for some weird bragging rights.
I agree but in this case it actually makes a lot of sense because the actors filmed it all themselves and they, like everyone else, are actually all in self isolation in the real world. So they’re using the technology they have. It’s not like everyone has an 8K RED Digital at home. Or the the production company is going to send everyone a RED Digital (or whatever) and train them how to use it… etc. So it’s pretty cool and it all makes sense.

Talk about a show that got significantly better with each episode. If the first one didn't do it for you, please give this show a chance. It really hits its stride in episode 3 and continues to get better as it goes.
Sounds like it just developed the same way Rob McElhenney’s crown jewel (Always Sunny) did. We don’t even talk about the first season of IASIP; seems like he, Charlie Day, and Megan Ganz just got off their feet a bit quicker this time. (Megan was an amazing addition to later seasons of IASIP and I’m so glad she’s doing this show from the get-go.)

I have a feeling this is going to be an incredibly funny episode.

That dude seems to have tiny hands! Look in that video!

As for this show... I tried to get into it but by episode 3 I couldn't shake off the dejavu from HBO's Silicon Valley.
Please tell me the first part of this comment is an Always Sunny ref. 😆

I may give it another go on this comment but from I’ve seen so far it’s just so not funny. Not even a small chuckle here and there. Nada

Because the best camera is always the one you already have in your hand.

In this case, sure I get it. But there were movies, TV shows and commercials all touted as being shot on phones that happened before the pandemic stuff started.

Yes, because it's a cheaper way of making films that still looks pretty damn good.

Lets people know you don't need $50k+ worth of equipment to make something worthy of being called a film.

And yet there is a reason why all but these occasional experiments are shot on professional equipment and not on phones.

Yes, because professional equipment is nicer, and better to use if you already own it.

What's your point here?
