Apple today shared a short teaser video for Pluribus, an upcoming sci-fi drama series hailing from Breaking Bad creator Vince Gilligan.

Pluribus stars Emmy-nominated actress Rhea Seehorn, who also starred in the Breaking Bad spinoff series Better Call Saul. In the "genre-bending" series, Apple says "the most miserable person on Earth must save the world from happiness."

In the teaser video, which is shrouded in mystery, Seehorn plays a woman named Carol. A fictional U.S. government official appears on her TV screen, promising to "figure out" what makes her "different" from the others, so that she can "join" them.

"Join us, Carol," reads the description for the YouTube video.

The first two episodes of the nine-episode first season will be released on Apple TV+ on Friday, November 7, and a new episode will follow every Friday through December 26. Apple has already picked up the series for a second season, too.

Pluribus is produced by Sony Pictures Television, and Gilligan serves as one of the executive producers and as a writer for some episodes.

Over the past few months, Apple has shared several mysterious clips from the show.

P.S. If you dial 202-808-3981, an automated message related to the show will play, and there is an option to sign up for promotional Apple TV+ text messages.

Wow I could never get into breaking bad starting watching it about 6 years ago and couldn’t get past 3 episodes 😂 maybe I should try again I just couldn’t get into it at all 🤷🏻‍♂️.

Me either 🤷‍♂️

Oh well --- I've long ago learned that just because something is super mainstream popular and/or lauded for brilliance doesn't mean anything about whether I will enjoy it or not.

I find Breaking Bad easier to get into that newer shows like BCS.

It's like Guilligan knows he already has an audience that has patience to wait to be rewarded. And BCS is all in all a better show than BB.

I'm eagerly waiting for this show. I really love Vince's work (although I hated BCS and acknowledge it's still a great show even if I didn't like it).

Here are texts that have come from that phone number:
Please know your life is your own, Carol. You have agency!
You must have so many questions for us! Understand, we only want to make you happy. We'll be in touch soon.

Happy Labor Day, Carol
Carol, would you like a cup of coffee? One sugar, with oat milk, right? And maybe a pinch of cinnamon and cayenne?
Please let us know if you have any more trash you need picked up, Carol!
Hi, Carol -- any chance you'll be in New York City on October 10? We'd love to see you, but space is limited...
Hope you're enjoying the flight, Carol! May we offer you a drink?
Thanks for your patience, Carol. We know it's frustrating to feel like you've been kept in the dark. Hopefully that will change very soon.

Sooo exited for this. Now the only issue is do I wait for the whole series and bing or watch episode to episode.

I couldn't get into Breaking Bad either. It was just a little too gritty for my taste, but I appreciate that a lot of people like it.

Made it through the first season, after about three tries, and never went back to it.

The more so if you consider the high quality of BB and BCS over the course of the entire series. Usually it’s one great season, one good season and the rest is just meh.
Yeah it's when you can create one after another that it really just works. Breaking Bad did have a few seasons that I thought were not as good as others.. but it all ties in nicely. A really underrated TV series is The Americans.. if you ever need something to binge.

I've tried to watch it three times now. On one of the times I made it a full season before giving up. It is not a show for me.

Edit: Just saw that WarmWinterHat said almost the exact same thing about it as I did.

Same, but is it super mainstream popular? I mean that's more Friends, The Big Bang Theory, Lost, Desperate Housewives and stuff like that isn't it? I know BB had huge viewing figures in general but it strikes me as a bit too "clever" to be just mainstream TV, it is unusual IMO for something so good to be popular, there's nothing else in that popular dramas list of the last 20 years I could even consider watching (Game of Thrones was also twice as popular...so twice as mainstream?)
