Apple TV+ to Apple TV Rebrand Now Official, Here's the New Intro

I noticed my Apple TV refuses to play Apple TV content nowadays because I have two separate Apple Accounts and it just refuses to play anything, even though I am logged into the correct one. It attempts to play but then I get a "content not available" pop up. Anyone else noticed that? I have to AirPlay from my Mac to the Apple TV now to play anything. Very annoying.

That’s not right, you’re paying for a service & can’t get it on the devices that are made to play it. Definitely call Apple & have them sort it out for you. 👍🏻

They should call the new "Apple tv 4K" the "tvPod" and make it available in all the same hip colors as the HomePod mini. "All your streaming all in one place". There should be a camera included and the option to connect via HDMI to your TV or just project to your tv wirelessly. They should also include a new "Mac" app that makes your tvPod into an A19 Pro powered Mac w/ a wireless keyboard.

It's time to get stoked about the ALL NEW Apple TV! This is the best example of the vision Steve had for television. This truly is the Apple TV for pro pluses! Apple can't wait to see the incredible things that appear on the ALL NEW Apple TV. Apple thinks you're gonna love it!

I think you might be misusing 'hyperbole' slightly. We don't know what they have planned for Apple TV... It could, literally, be exactly what they said. Just the beginning (of a variety of changes).

If they had described this new intro beat as the most dramatic, impactful change to ever come to Apple TV (while insinuating that they think we're going to love it) THAT would be hyperbole.

As it is, assuming they do have some more changes coming, "just the beginning" is just a... statement.

This is actually really nice. I'm going to miss the BONG! modified Mac startup sound for tv+ but this gives the new tv its own identity.

Going back, this does sound like the original Apple TV (circa 2007) startup sound.

Apple has gone full Hallmark. There is nothing memorable or unique about it. Could have at least been a nod to the OG Mac startup sound.

I like the animation, and I don't mind the tune, but the piano bit at the end is unnecessary. Without it, it would end with a sound similar to the Mac startup tone

Well, this re-brand is fine, I don't really care. And it won't make me liking any of the content more or less, if it weren't included with my TMobile plan - I would certainly not pay for it, but that's just me.

Same here… we get it as part of our bank account for some reason…. There just isn’t enough content to watch it regularly and it certainly doesn’t merit the price

EDIT: Found it on YouTube....yeah the "old" one sounds more modern. This new one is very retro.

They did do away with the sound and changed it. And it’s just coloured logos animating on top of it
