But you still need an Apple ID to see them. But I do wonder how many people are going to create Apple IDs just to see the specials for free this year and not use the IDs for anything else? These were event night television in my house growing up, long before you had everything at your fingertips, and I still watch them every year as an adult. Giving access to those without a subscription is great.
Nope… I’ll celebrate the day PBS closes its doors ✌️Come on, Tim. Let PBS air them on the holiday. You can throw your logo in the corner and all that marketing stuff before it.![]()

I wonder if Mr. Schwartz father fought in first Great War and was involved with dogfights and he reliving it thru snoopy?Wake me when there's a Hollywood reboot of these that include Charlie Brown and Snoopy origin stories and are GRITTY and REALISTIC and feature desaturated colors with RAW EMOTION (Charlie Brown wandering rain-soaked, dirty streets, having an existential breakdown after being called a blockhead, Snoopy fighting in WW1 with soldiers screaming in pain and slo-mo shots of bullets impacting flesh, etc). Starring Joaquin Phoenix as Charlie Brown and Karl Urban as Snoopy.
How charitable of Tim Apple. Apple is not going to charge people extra this year for holiday specials that have aired free of charge on TV for decades.

Even from a totally self-centered perspective... without PBS, we Americans probably wouldn't even be aware of amazing British TV shows like Red Dwarf, Monty Python, Fry and Laurie, Downton Abbey, etc.No thank you. I'm happy that there is at least one non-religious and not-for-profit broadcaster still around.
.... then be a parent and show them? Peanuts is not "behind the times", it's multigenerational and beloved by many. This feels so behind the times, much like when Apple dropped U2 on everyone. My kids don't even know who Peanuts are.
But I actually liked the U2 album. This feels so behind the times, much like when Apple dropped U2 on everyone. My kids don't even know who Peanuts are.
Talk to Paramount Global. They might be on Paramount+I want the Garfield Halloween shows back.
That's too bad - my son LOVES Snoopy/Peanuts. Apple TV+ makes some new shows (The Snoopy Show & Camp Snoopy) that are on constantly in our house. My son always requests to watch. And my wife and I like them too. This feels so behind the times, much like when Apple dropped U2 on everyone. My kids don't even know who Peanuts are.
Bleh.
These were on TV when I was a kid, they weren't great then, and they've not gotten any better with age.
It doesn't feel like that at all. Mostly because it's not. Lots of salty comments in here. This feels so behind the times, much like when Apple dropped U2 on everyone. My kids don't even know who Peanuts are.
Apparently Apple is bad, Peanuts is bad, PBS is bad... a lot of people here just like to be miserable! It doesn't feel like that at all. Mostly because it's not. Lots of salty comments in here.
What most people objected to was the U2 album being added to their music libraries without the user being consulted about it.But I actually liked the U2 album.
COMING to APPLE TV in 2025: Chuck Brown - Five Days in HellWake me when there's a Hollywood reboot of these that include Charlie Brown and Snoopy origin stories and are GRITTY and REALISTIC and feature desaturated colors with RAW EMOTION (Charlie Brown wandering rain-soaked, dirty streets, having an existential breakdown after being called a blockhead, Snoopy fighting in WW1 with soldiers screaming in pain and slo-mo shots of bullets impacting flesh, etc).
