And the continued trend of arbitrarily holding back features to push sells of new devices. So sickeningly sad that they feel they have to hold things back just to push sales of devices.

Not sure I like it

Will have to really see it up close, but from watching that keynote, I'm not impressed. It's too flat. Too many plain white screens with plain black text. They can go flat and still have some color. The font looks like a true ripoff of Win 8 phone.

Don't think I'll be going to this for a long time. My iOS 6.1.2 is jailbroken and I love it.

I find it interesting that you think that just because it was designed by Apple, that it will "just work". Looking at Apple's track record with Maps and Siri, I am going to withhold my admiration until I see it actually working well. In the end I am happy to see an iOS that finally looks different than 5 yeas ago, now hopefully they can deliver on their promises.

One major design philosophy of Apple's is to not release new features until they feel it has been done right (actually this is both complimented and criticized.)

Of course, they're not perfect either. But that is their philosophy, and they tend to release less half-baked features than other companies.

Brilliant presentation. I love the new look. Forstall got slammed hard. But the new look is really clean and visually arresting. Can't wait till September.
