How does iOS 7 look ANYTHING like Android? How does iOS 7 look ANYTHING like WP8?

Space-themed UI vs a colorful, flat, glass UI.
1-color schemed tiles vs rounded icons with multi-colored pictures or logos.

Before you continue with that statement, actually know what the comparisons look like.

Whoever made those comparisons needs to get a life.

Im a long long time apple costumer and have macb pro , iph5 ipad mini , shuffle .

But this iOS makes me think in to change .. Im sorry guys but it is bad ..
Why apple folow the Google idea to make everything minimal ..

Minimal looks nice in a physical product but not on software ...

Mail inbox complete fail , music player same fail and i dont want to think further

After the iphone 5 bad bad feedback and now this iOS 7 ...

I love Apple but .. Miss Steve Jobs ! somthing not the same till he died..:apple:

Excuse me but iPhone 5 is good. If by "minimal" you talk about the icons, then you're right. I hate the fact that the icons looks really like s***, just like W8 icons does. Instead of having a camera app that look like an "art" icon with probably 200 different colors, we get a picture of a solid grey camera on an solid grey background.
Oh, and just to tell you, I hate "apple quitters".

For those that want to leave iOS platform for Android beacuse of their displeasure at iOS 7, please try not to go for Samsung cos that's just back stabbing. Instead other Android devices or this most recent Samsung killer phone http://phonegist.blogspot.com/2013/06/ascend-p6-samsung-s4-iphone-killer.html?m=1

I hate Android OS. Even iOS 7 is better. It's way more advanced. The S4 is horrible compared to the iPhone 5.

Answer me: Would Android, Windows Phone, Blackberry Z10 stuff exist if the iPhone wasen't made? Apple is victim of having their ideas stealed.

Who cares about notif.? Apple do better than Android. iPhone is so great Apple invented an iPhone without phone, the iPod Touch. Android would NEVER get to that point.

you do know there were smart phones that can go on the web and use real web like browsers before the ihpone came out right?

android was android by its self before google bought it in 2006,they had a android phone in testing way before apple even thought about making an iphone.

heck even the phone in the video I posted looks like an iphone 5 but apple is sueing everyone today that makes a phone that looks like the black one in the video I posted.

ios6 added notifications and android had those back in 2006 lol and apple to this day still does not have a notification led

ios7 adds a white dialer that is a complete rip off of the galaxy s4 dialer

I have to be honest that people who have money for a good smartphone, they buy an iPhone. I NEVER have seen anybody having an S4 in their hands. Instead, everybody buy the iPhone 5. The iPod Touch has almost killed and replaced portable video games consoles. The iPad is the origin of the tablet, every other tablet is a piece of s***. Respect to Apple, respect to Steve Jobs.

ya ok man sure it was,try using the first 1-2g iphone when android were running 3g speeds and then tell me how well that first iphone was browsing the net

Apple made their first iPhone 2G. The next year they got 3G. 4 years later, with the 4S, they got 4G and the next year they got LTE.

Problem?

that's funny how you mention it as I have ran into nothing but gs4s and note 2 when I go out and about.

the ipod touch is a game console now?

android was on 4g almost 2 full years before apple and no the 4s was not a 4g cell, its a 3g hspda+ and only works on a few networks.Androids were rocking full lte 4g when the iphone 4 came out

Yes. Sure look at the 3DS it has horrible graphics with 40$ games. Apple got everything with free and 1$ priced games. The iPod Touch has like 512MB of RAM, which is HUGE compared to other portable game consoles.

I think you are the only person that bought an ipod for gaming, the 3ds has a gamepad and officers a gaming experience that is on another level compared to an ipod for gaming.

If you want to get into a gaming battle android vs ios you will lose that one also.Just take a look at the nvidea shield and lol about bringing up specs, dont even go there bro.

the shield is running quad core next generation cortex a15 cores with 2gb ram and a gpu that is on the same level as an ipad 4 and also has a built in gamepad

http://www.ign.com/articles/2013/06/20/nvidia-shield-price-dropped-to-299-launching-june-27th

I DIDN'T BROUGHT AN IPOD FOR GAMING. I have an 3DS and I find that the iPod has way better graphics and games are way more affordable. Sure look at Temple Run, Angry Birds. I have 16 iPod Games that are FREE and about 5 3DS games that costs about 40$ each for a few days of fun.

Get your facts straight, the iPhone 3G was released in Summer of 2008, months before the release of the first Android phone Google G1.

And while Android may have had more features than the first releases of iPhone OS, those features were implemented in the most basic way.

Copy&Paste and folders were working totally different than how Apple implemented those features later in iOS - but it was soon very clear that Apple's implementation was far superior, so Android copied the way they worked in later Android releases.

You should also remember that Apple did mobile devices a decade before Android started developement - the Newton!
Or the graphical user interface on the Lisa, Macintosh and of course with Mac OS X and it's widgets.

Saying that the company that released one of the first GUIs and invented many interaction concepts for mouse based interfaces (they improved on what they saw at Xerox) had to copy basic elements from other mobile OSes (some even say Apple copied the concept of Copy&Paste, lol) is ridiculous.

Some months ago Apple sued HTC (iirc) because HTC used a patented (by Apple) way to highlight telephone numbers on websites or in other places, making them click-to-call.
Someone in a forum mentioned how that was laughable and crazy of Apple, because his Nokia phone had a similar feature in 2003 or so, years before the iPhone.
BUT... Apple's patent wasn't about the iPhone (like the guy had thought, making the Nokia prior-art), but they patented this in 1996, for Mac OS!!!

Apple has been around for a long long time and many of the ways how data is displayed or manipulated have been invented by Apple years before Android was invented (by someone who worked at Apple in the 90s).

If you want to get into a gaming battle android vs ios you will lose that one also.

You're trolling, right?

Games are still often exclusively released on iOS or iOS gets the game first.
Just a few weeks, the iPad got Knights of the Old Republic and last week, iOS got a full port of the PC/console game XCOM.
Both are not announced at all for Android.

And Android phones with 4G?
Great, did you miss how all of them had horrible battery life, due to the high power drain of earlier LTE chipsets?
One reviewer even mentioned how one phone had drawn so much power during navigation via GPS and 4G that the car charger was unable to provide enough power to keep the charge level - it decreased!

man apple stole everything they had,the stole the ui from Xerox and Microsoft one upped them and stole there look from apple.Everyone steals and in the video I posted had a google phone running 3g before the iphone 3g was even started.

don't sit here and try to tell us apple had faster data speeds before others as nokia were running full 3g speeds before the first iphone was even out.

right now the Verizon galaxy s4 supports advanced LTE and that is not on any apple phone atm

Do I really need to post jobs video saying "good artists copy great artists steal" for ya?apple had a pirate flag on there flag post and were proud of how they copied people back in the day

every company does it and that is how innovation grows and apple is the biggest soar loser hypocrite that cries when it happens to them but has no issues on doing it after others already have it.

notifications
panorama photos
face unlock
etc etc and I don't care that apple has these features now,its just amusing that some people believe so hard into apple that they think its all apples innovations and think others are copying them and now the new thing is well apple does it better lol

Do so, that would only prove that you don't understand what the quote means!

That quote has two parts, why do ignorant people always ignore half of it, mix words up and conclude that Apple copies other companies?

Two parts:
1. Good artists copy
2. great artists steal

Copying and stealing are two completely different things in the context of the quote, this is so obvious, because without this, the quote wouldn't even make sense.

In this context, to "copy" means just that, copying something, making something that is identical to something.
As this quote comes originally from Pablo Picasso, it is of course not only meant to describe technology, but art.

A good artist - this means someone who is at least able to produce something of a good quality - better than someone who is unable to do so but not as good as someone that can create something great - copies, like with only a single year of art school, one will be able paint a copy of a painting, he just has to know how to apply colour to a canvas and has to follow the instruction that is the original painting.

This also applies to writing, with young and inexperienced writers often copying the style of well known writers, because they are not good enough to create their own style.

Good artists are able to create only something that has existed before, but they are not able to create something completely new, that is beyond the normal bounds of what they perceive as possible.

The second part of this quote is a bit harder to explain, because you can't just use semantics to explain the obvious meaning of a word, because stealing is usually used to describe someone taking a physical thing from someone else.

But actually it is meant in a very similar way.

Great artists have a much better sense of what is possible than a merely good artist and they are able to think outside the bounds.

Stealing in this context means taking something and transforming it so much, that it has stopped being what it once was and that it now doesn't belong to the original creator anymore.
This requires the ability to see not what something is now, but what it could become with a lot of work.

In music, the first part, the copying, applies to the countless numbers of people who for example created a metal/rock cover of the song Hurt from Nine Inch Nails, they all sound alike, adding nothing to the original song.
The stealing of something on the other hand would be like Johnny Cash's cover of that song, that was from a totally different genre of music, added even more emotion and was so flawlessly executed that even Trent Reznor, the guy who created the song, said that the song now didn't belong to him anymore, because it was transformed by Johnny Cash and was now a different song.

In technology, the most obvious example for a product stolen by Apple in the way that is meant by the quote is the iPad.

Apple didn't invent the concept of a tablet computer, Microsoft did that ten years earlier (and science fiction did it even earlier), but they didn't just copy the way Microsoft did tablets running Windows XP in 2001, but they transformed it competely, using an OS that was born for a tablet instead of one that was forced to run on tablets.

A copy in this context would habe been a tablet running regular OS X, thick, heavy, short battery life...
If you want to see what a copy would have looked like, search for the "ModBook Pro", a MacBook Pro that is converted by a third-party to a touchscreen tablet running OS X.

Now what we think of a tablet is transformed and no longer means something that is heavy, has short battery life, a stylus and few apps than can be used with touch controls - now we think "iPad".

With the stolen thing not belonging to the original creator anymore, that is also true - see Windows RT that is modeled on the iPad, not Windows 7.

The artists that only copy?
The countless numbers of Android tablet that look and WORK the same way as the iPad, adding absolutely nothing new.

So if you're saying that the quote "Good artists copy, great artists steal" shows how Apple is a company that copies other companies inventions, that only shows you lack basic reading skills, ignoring one half of the quote and mixing words up, making it "Apple thinks they are great and they say great artists copy - see, they are confessing it!" in your mind.

It also shows you're a troll.

Very nicely stated, but as has been shown time and time again when the quote is explained, the android fanatics ignore what it actually means.

The quote, rectangles, market share and apple stock price are all android talking points. Sometimes you just gotta let them have it because educating them is futile.
