Sequoia Beta is doing very well on my 15" 2018 Intel MBP. I suppose, it will work well with your iMac. Only don't leave the Sequoia wallpaper on, as there's an energy problem with that atm. Best change it to another wallpaper. There's an email in the Feedback Assistant from Apple on Sequoia Beta OS. I don't have too many 3rd party apps (Excel, Word, Gimp, Geany, Calibre, VLC and few standby web browsers), and all of them work as they did.
Many Thanks, I will try to install. I really dislike Sonoma since it's UI is quite choppy and unstable.
By the way, where can I download the Sequoia pkg or iso file from apple server directly?

Now this makes me wonder how it will handle things like biometric authentication and secure screens like bank apps, password managers, etc. Not that it would work all that well but I imagine video streaming apps are right out as well, due to DRM they would definitely just show a black screen.
We are using Hypr these days, and they finally added Biometrics to Salesforce so I can use a fingerprint 20X a day, I am not sure this is better than a password that can time out every 30 minutes, but it is what it is authentication hell. If I can keep Hypr in a window while my phone is in my pocket or on a call I am good.

That makes me sad. On day one of owning a new Apple device, I devote hours of time setting things up just so.
I am usually spending more time trying to revert behavior back. Like the contact posters. Yikes.
