"A10 Fusion chip", haha. Barely an upgrade from the 1,5 year old 6th gen iPad at all. Same chip, same format (but a hair bigger screen), still 1 gen pencil, same price. If the price was good 1,5 year ago it's not today anymore. No new iPad for me this year either...

The only problem is the price. This needs to be priced at $499 or so, otherwise it will feel like a cheap plastic device

They mentioned thumb drive. USB-C? Or are they expecting us to use Lightning to USB adapter?

Pencil? Yeah. Look at the metal ribbon on the pencil. That doesn't exist on the 2nd gen pencil.

Is the starting storage still 32gb? I didn’t see anything about that in the macroomers live updates. Being at work sucks

It’s a good entry level iPad. Still haters gotta hate.

They should do better than the 2015 era 1st-gen Pencil.

It's not like it's bundled. They'll still charge you $100 for it!

Oh this is GREAT for young artists. A slightly bigger screen on the lowest end iPad is very good news!

I wonder if it'll be at the now-normal $299/329 price points on amazon? If so, it's at least going to be a bit better than the old iPad.

Plus, this means the old iPad will go even lower. 128GB for $250?

Not sure if that was a sarcastic comment or not but I actually agree.

Man Apple seems to hate the A11 and I guess putting an A12 on it was going to be getting too close to the iPad Air.

I think Apple could have at least added the A11. Anyway, this makes me more hopefully for the future if the one for the latest iOS devices is running with the A10 then I’ll be keeping my iPhone X for longer (iOS upgrades should run smoothly for a couple more years)

I am even happier now for purchasing iPad 6 128g for $329. iPad 7 offers me nothing.

My sister is still using my iPad 2 as a facebook live streamer and mini TV. It's a great device that hopefully will last a few more years.
