That touch bar is a gimmick and those prices are insane and they didn't even mention the iMac, Mac mini or Mac Pro.

I don't think the Touch Bar is a gimmick, it's actually a blending of the screen and the keyboard. People will adjust to this new concept. People just hate change.

AS for the iMac, Mac mini and Mac Pro — I am BLOWN AWAY that these products didn't get any updates this season! Weak performance! I am really curious to know why.

So on Windows/Linux where most laptops now have touchscreens this would be completely redundant and not impressive.

Surely individual buttons each containing mini screens would have been better. Then the function of the key can be context dependant but you learn where they are and can use without looking. This would be so slow looking away to make sure you are hitting right button

Utterly boring, a huge disappointment.
A sad commentary on a company with godawful stacks of money lying around that can't even offer a high priced laptop with more than 16-GBytes of RAM. Wake up Apple... it's 2016. That was your top-of-the-line 4-years ago. And you still offer configurations with 8GBytes of RAM? Really? COME ON... people that buy that would be better off with an iPad.
