If normally doesn’t include twisting them as shown in the Tips app that comes on the iPhone, I suggest trying that ?. I almost returned the AirPods 3 because I didn’t like the fit when I wore them straight up and down until I saw this video. These are my first pair so I wasn’t used to doing that. I just popped the EarPods in and out since the mic is on the wire which naturally pulled them forward. After doing the twist (?) I did my best Beavis and Butthead headbanging impersonations and couldn’t pop them out.

I did find the Air Pods Pro fit much better if I aimed the stalk parallel to the ground. I was surprised, and tried them in several different orientations, and facing forward just worked better. They looked funny, but seemed to work better, stayed in longer, sounded better. Weird. The AP3 pop out just sitting and talking or changing facial gesture. YMMV, obviously. The originals stay in so much better than most of the other Apple/Beats models.

So far, the PowerBeats Pro, Beats Fit, and gen 2 AirPods are the best fitment for me.

I had a similar issue and each time it had to do when switching from videoconferences to listening to music or vice versa.. something about Bluetooth protocol and dynamic switch

I follow these steps when it happens and the issues corrects itself for me
It's been resolved. What was causing the problem was the Bluetooth Keyboard or Mouse. I'm using Logitech MX keys max & Logitech Master 3 mouse. In my opinion best keys & mouse on the market BUT it was causing some weird interference with AirPods. I connected them via Logitech unifying receiver and it's not happening since then (yesterday). This has been discovered during my visit at apple Genius where problem was not present. Then we have connected apple magic keyboard and trackpad and it still worked fine so I assumed it must be MX keys / mouse.

The Now Playing screen automatically shows up on the watch if it’s paired to the iPhone so the crown controls the volume of the AirPods connected to the iPhone. What extra steps are you having to go through?
Thanks for replying to clarify this — turns out I’ve just been too quick to tap out of the initial watch now playing screen that first appears, it does indeed automatically switch to the phone now playing screen if you give it like a second. Am genuinely grateful you pointed this out, it’s way more convenient knowing I can rely on that now.

I've had that screen be buried on my AW. I have had to actually quit playing music on my iPhone just to get the screen to popup on top. It looks like it either does get buried, or it forgets it's actually playing music. It's weird, and only happens when I'm on my bike trainer, and so far has been rare, but a PITA sometimes when it happens. *shrug*

Hey me again, back to share that after testing further I’ve found that if you tap the little now playing dot at the top of the watch screen that appears when playing something, it does indeed quickly switch from watch to phone playing screen. But if you start out by opening the now playing app itself (I keep it in top billing in my app dock) then it defaults you to watch and stays there until you manually tap your way to the phone playing screen.

Not ideal given the now playing notification dot is hard to tap (I usually end up hitting my cal or battery complication), wish apple would fix the way opening the app itself works.

Where did I read that something was going to x175? Gosh, then if it was only to 170, my AirPod get 3's were updated almost immediately. Wow. I'm shocked. One update took weeks... Has it really gotten better, or am I delusional?

I have had the Music Playing screen kind of 'get lost' on my AW4. One time, I was busy on a ride, and couldn't get the screen to popup. It seemed to be buried. I could get back to the watch screen, but somehow not get to that actual screen. I gave up and just kept riding. *shrug* I could still skip to the next song. Weird...

Nope. The pic is of AirPods 3.
While you are correct, two months ago when MdRuckus posted that, the pic was different.

See attachment :)
