OSX is next. Unfortunately.

Mark my words.

I don't have a problem with that. I actually prefer the designs on the iCloud.com site then the sad ones in Mavericks. The Notes/Calendar apps looks so much better on iCloud.com then it does as native apps on Mavericks.

I think the rate at which Apple is updating iWork for iCloud shows a level of commitment that we haven't seen with any of their online services previously. We used to only see yearly/bi-yearly updates. This makes me very excited for where this will be this time next year.

And it makes me sad for the lack of commitment towards the desktop version. The latest Keynote, Pages etc. are just a horrible downgrade and dumbed down school programs.

Can't load Pages/Numbers/Keynotes.

There was a problem loading the application.

I wish they would hurry up and update the Mac version of Keynote 6. They took away the customizable presenter display, and it's unusable for me without it.

There is a thin line between minimalism flat design and not knowing anything about design as a whole. Apple actions are too narrow thinking, not good for the industry as a whole.

sad. by removing all affordance the usability drops quite dramatically! one thing to make it minimalistic. but remove buttons AND really poor contrast. apple - have you ever read the book 'Don't make me think!"?! I constantly miss very simple operations in new iOS and iCloud i can hardly differentiate stuff.

ive - hardware yes
ive - software no!

Not to be like that, but this is a beta product, missing a lot functionality and still have a fragmented designed (overview iOS 7 look, opened document iOS 6).

Yes, it's great that they are working hard on this, but they aren't exactly speedy about this.

If you look at Apple's history with MobileMe and iWork.com (which was a beta), these products rarely saw updates. Instead they just became stagnant, poorly executed web apps. For Apple to have updated iWork for iCloud two or three times in the few months since it launched is pretty impressive given their history.

And it makes me sad for the lack of commitment towards the desktop version. The latest Keynote, Pages etc. are just a horrible downgrade and dumbed down school programs.

At least we already got one decent update, and they've said more are on the way. The pace will probably pick up once the desktop and iCloud versions hit feature parity.

Keep getting an error message on my Mac when opening a Pages document created with the revised Pages for iCloud. I should do an update

Have you actually used these? When I'm in a document it looks a lot like OSX apps. What buttons are missing?

macbookairman has noted that Apple is updating iWork for iCloud more quicklky than it has updated any product before. So yes, Apple is very speedy about updating their Web apps, and it looks like they are preparing for a big announcement at this year's WWDC in June, I will definitely be watching!

Check the updates, 6.1 is available with improved presenter options, I'm not sure if it'll have what you want but thought you should know it's out now.
