Nice article. Frankly I was surprised at how many apps there are available for it already which probably bodes well for it going forward. I mean, if it was fewer than ten titles I'd be questioning how easy it was to develop apps for.

I expect to own one someday but will wait a couple of years and see what happens.

Are you old enough to remember the computer desk at home?

Then you must be old enough to be able to tell us one criticism of AVP v1 that doesn't almost identically mirror common criticisms of iPhone v1.

That is my entire point.

People making nearsighted comments about the limited potential of what everybody agrees to be an overpriced tech demo that really is only intended to kick-start an ecosystem with developers and wealthy enthusiasts.

- no killer app (AVP at least has apps! iPhone had only visual voicemail and a browser that showed broken, desktop-only websites)
- cost 10x as much as 'competing' market-leading devices in the space (well AVP is only 3x)
- why would I need this? I can't imagine what I'd do with it to justify half the cost
- terrible battery life
- etc

Have the content visionaries of Vision Pro vanished? The initial buzz has faded, and there's no chatter about using it for work or leisure. It's a tool with immense potential yet severe limitations. I am perplexed about the direction Apple and Humane are pursuing with it.
