Ordered a 256 model for February 8 delivery. Since I chose the delivery option, I also ordered a medium headband because the app scanned me as a small and I know that that just isn’t true lol, unfortunately didn’t notice before I placed the order/trusted it. Luckily, the light seal size came out the same every time I tried it but nonetheless as I thought, subsequent scans showed me as a medium also. Today is my birthday and I’ve never had an apple product pre-order go live on my birthday so there’s a first for everything here lol.

I tried to make monthly payments on my AppleCard ordering from my iPad. It kept making me push back the appointment time. Then when paying, it failed 3 times but didn’t say why. I then switched to paying in full from my phone, and it went through, but the earliest appointment was already 3 days later.

I wonder if they will let me switch that when I pick them up.

Even after asking for $3500 for this meme they're asking for an additional $200 just for an extra 256gb then another $200 for 1TB

I swear to god this company...

$200 for 256GB extra storage? Highway robbery! Do Apple even pay $10 extra for that with their purchasing power?? The Apple tax is so out of hand, even on a premium product like this with an incredibly high entry price.

Edit: Plus, how much storage do they think the magical video this thing supports is going to gobble up? No one should be playing a game of taking stuff on and off it every week. 1TB should have been the base configuration, with 2TB and 4TB as the upgrade options ( with 2TB only costing an extra $200!).

What do they think, people will use external storage like on their Macs? Wait, no, they just want the foolish/rich early adopters' new toy to be gimped so they buy another one in a year or two...

My order got processed pretty quickly, but the prescription upload to Zeiss was broken for people who already had prescriptions loaded into the Health App.

For whatever reason, it worked for me. but I did it on my Mac after the fact (i.e. I got an email I clicked on, it asked if I had it in my Health App, I said yes, and bingo, worked).

I'm very curious to see the real-world feedback on these things from all of you picking them up. I'm going to wait for a generation or two before getting one for myself as the early adapter price just seems way too high for what you can currently do with them.

I’ve already gotten an email from Zeiss telling me my prescription was reviewed and verified. The email said my lenses are already being crafted and that they will deliver Feb. 2. That’s good because it would not be great if I got the AVP and everything was blurry for a while. Considering my prescription is for progressive lenses that work for both distance and reading, that’s pretty good.

My prescription was also approved by Zeiss. You do realize that the insert are not progressive. It's single focus based upon the distance part of your progressive prescription.

Apple's Vision Pro headset is available with three different storage options, today's pre-order process has revealed.

The Vision Pro headset is available with 256GB, 512GB, or 1TB of storage. While the existence of a 256GB model was confirmed upon Apple's announcement of the headset's release date earlier this month, the other specific storage options and their price points were unknown until pre-orders opened earlier today. The pricing for each of storage options is as follows:

  • 256GB: $3,499
  • 512GB: $3,699
  • 1TB: $3,899

The only other added cost is reading or prescription ZEISS lens inserts for those who need them. The Vision Pro launches in the U.S. on Friday, February 2.

How the hell is it $400 to go from 256 - 1TB here but $800 to do the same on an M1 MacBook Air?!

Whoops! Ignore me. I was looking at 2TB.
