A great idea would be a puzzle for AVP. I love working puzzles and always find it challenging to find a place for the puzzle where the kids or family won't disturb (and it can sit long enough to finish it over time). Be fun to see that concept where I could put on a AVP and see my puzzle floating out in front of me to work on.

That's a seriously outstanding idea! If you write Craig Federighi and/or Tim Cook a thoughtful letter with your idea, they'll definitely read your letter and consider it. And will send you a reply.

Go for it!

Frank Casanova, Apples lead Marketer for the Vision Pro just "retired". I guess that tells you everything.

What it tells me is after 36 years at Apple and holding various senior level positions, it was time to retire and enjoy life. No scare quotes needed around the word retired.

Many engineers in Silicon Valley retire around that point in time. It's not unusual.

Imagine paying $3500 to play solitaire. What tools.

Imagine paying thousands of dollars for a car so you can drive to church two blocks away!

Oh wait... cars can actually take you to other places besides church! You can drive to work, to a shopping center 20 miles away, on a road trip across a few states, to pick up relatives at the airport, pick up your kids from school, buy groceries two cities away.

And on and on and on. It's just a matter of exercising one's imagination.

Not a puzzle but Loóna: Cozy Puzzle Games might be good entertainment for kids:

$3500 for this....el oh el
This is pretty sad, I mean your post. With this logic you could attack any new product, Vision Pro is incredible advanced, it will be a niche for some time maybe forever but still it is an impressive tech especially to other VR set, and you know that there are very useful ways to use it and also to be productive with specialized apps. As always Macrumors forum/comment section shows its worst.

I still don’t get why you would want to wear this heavy thing only to end up playing 2D Board games in a virtual copy of your real room like just pick up an iPad while sitting in your actual room without this thing strapped to your head.

At least a Quest lets you „escape“ to a virtual world playing games. Things like „The Climb“ are so great, my Bf actually stopped playing because he got so scared from the „height“ of climbing a cliff in fake Thailand 😅
Screen size, immersion, playing while doing other stuff with windows bigger than any real screen.

Oh my god! this is it! we have all waited.. we have all speculated! what could the killer app be ?! And then it arrives! amazing. I'm getting my 3500 quid right now!

I think what the naysayers are missing is that as you play solitaire others sitting around you can kind of see a digital representation on your eyes as you choose cards which honestly, is pretty wow.

I want the Vision Pro to succeed. Truly. But these things are the equivalent of early iPhone fart apps. Where is the killer app? Vision Pro is doomed without them.
Exactly. These are little toys and gimmicks. Where is the killer app that will demonstrate how revolutionary AR and VR truly are?

True.
I continue to be puzzled by the absolutely lacklustre marketing of this AVP.

While the official line from Apple Inc on his retirement may be that "it was planned a long time ago and we wish Frank well!", the timing is spectacularly awkward.

Curious that MacRumours haven't yet picked up on this story.

Yeah OK... But where are the killer apps for AVP? Simply there aren't... And guess why? Because AVP is an expensive gadget that put the user alone from the real world outside without any great benefit in return. After two months the hype is faded away: production orders dropped by the 50% from Apple ( worldwide ) and vacant slots for personal demos in the AS!! End of the spatial computing era!!
