Apple & Voltzwagon

because of the mesages being so long I cannot find what I was looking for to make sure I didn't repeat my self.

Some UK apple resealler (Mygate I think, but they are closed now) painted a beetle like this. I will try to find the picture...

no one has mentioned the best vehicle on the planet....DUCATI!
ducati and apple, though doing different products, have had a similar history.
innovative design, development of cutting edge technologies, some monumental stuff ups that nearly brought the company down, insanely loyal user groups, non users just don't get it, non users insisting they are about to go bankrupt, etc. etc. etc.
alpha tech, i'm with you re bmw, they are for senior citizens.....i might get one when i'm 80 or 90 years old.....but i doubt it. i've had a couple of harleys (fxlr and fxdwg) great for long distance, easy to do 1200km in a day. BUT for me my favourite is still DUCATI.

anyone seen a 15 year old jap bike on the road? most of them don't last 10 years.
 
This is a very intelligent comparison and I think you're all making a mistake dismissing it ... if you think of the VW family ... VW/Audi/Porsche ... it makes complete sense.

The iMac is the Beetle (and don't roll your eyes until you drive the Beetle turbo.)

The iBook is the Jetta.

The t-book is the Audi TT.

The quicksilver SHOULD be a Porsche 911, but I think it needs some work.

Finally, someone with intelligent comments regarding the motorcycle idea. As well as someone that has owned a Harley and knows what they are all about.

Hey Guys...
I didn't read page two..I'm in a hurry... But anyhow, hope I don't repeat someone:

I remember a tv commercial that showed a student going off to college... Putting an imac into the back of a new beetle.

I have no idea if it was an Apple comm. or a VW comm. I might be totally wrong anyway.
