I don’t know whether you object to left or right wing politics, but it can’t be LGBT content that you object to, otherwise you would only be watching Disney+. Netflix has The Trial of the Chicago 7 front and center. Hulu and HBO had a whole section devoted to Black stories. So perhaps you want more left wing content?

Without any more context we have no idea what you’re talking about.

From other comments it appears that appletv+ is both too mainstream and bland, and not mainstream enough to appeal to a wide audience.

Most feature movies on Apple TV are charged 13 dollars to buy or 3.99 to rent. Imagine going to a gym, paying for a membership and then paying extra to use the treadmill or the showers.

It’s clear you don’t understand what Apple TV+ is and what it offers. I can’t blame you entirely...the TV app is a bit confusing for new users of it.

The Apple TV app is the one stop shop for all your tv and film needs. It keeps track of everything you are watching from other streaming services. It curates items you might like. It advertises new releases and other content in iTunes for you to buy or rent. It also lets you sign up for other streaming services. It has your iTunes library. These items discussed are NOT apart of the monthly subscription service. There is a tab for ONLY Apple TV+ original content.

Apple TV+ is apples original film and tv service. It’s content from ONLY apples original tv and films. That is separate from everything else in the TV app. So Apple is NOT “charging you extra for half of its features” Make a little more sense?

I hope Apple really expands it's content alot because I was quite suprised how fast I went threw all the content Apple TV+ has to offer. Disney also has the same problem as Apple TV+, so I cancelled my subscription after The Mandalorian season was over.

If Apple (and Disney) want to compete against Netflix, they need alot more content.

I agree but realistically all of holywood is woke and has been for many years but there’s degrees if the wokeness/p.c crap I just ignore their bigotry Unless it’s so egregious it starts to wreck the plot/story.

i don’t this that’s Apple‘s big problem it’s The lack of content that is my biggest issue, where’s there big sci-fi epic, or their fantasy epic and action series, crime series etc.
why don’t they fund new anime like all of their competitors,
they are one of if not the richest companies in the world they can afford to buy the best content so far it feels like they aren’t trying to put out much of anything
right now I don’t even think it’s worth the free trial it’s worth waiting till they have more.

Opinion based on verifiable facts but yes opinions nonetheless however as you mentioned we try to keep that for another forum, That’s why I didn’t go into depth or specifics.

It doesn’t matter what the political opinion is based on; it doesn’t belong here. One could start a thread in PRSI if one wanted to talk about the politics of the entertainment industry.

As for the lack of content, I just posted a story from 9to5mac talking about how Apple is going with quality over quantity. So you are correct, they have less content than the big players, but Netflix buys content from other sources and then has been producing their own stuff for years. Other big players are existing entertainment companies starting with big catalogs to pull from. Apple has decided to go all-original, all-high-quality from the start. It will take a while for them to increase the amount of content.

I understand why they will have less content but I also realize they have the means to not have the limited catalog they do if they wanted to be serious about it.
I agree that all the shows have been high-quality, but most of been mediocre misses not hits.
So if you mean quality over quantity in regards to production value I agree.
If you include story when you’re saying quality I would say they’re failing on both counts, but some shows show promise and they are new to the game so I’m not ruling it out long term.
