Why is that? Is the naked human body sinful, not to be looked at, to be ashamed of or what? I’d like hate speech, porn, and age-inappropriate violence and sex to be kept away from this age group. Not just nude pictures of people.
My originaly reply got banned as it apparantly got regarded by the moderators as a personal insult. If you (or any reader) felt insulted, my apologies, that's not my intention.

Amazon's Kindle platform sells adult-oriented books that include photographs that are not suitable for children, with the content first discovered by parents who contacted Reuters. The parents had purchased Kindle Unlimited for their pre-teen children because it included age appropriate books that were not available on Amazon's separate Amazon Kids+ subscription service.
A parent knowingly bought an adult-oriented service for their pre-teen when a separate service specifically tailored to this audience is available. It sucks if you can't get all the content you want, but that's life.
How is "supervise your kid or use the service for kids" not the end of the discussion?
Because, just like the gun debates, it will simply happen again and again until THE SOLUTION (which must involve parental accountability set into law for the Amazon thing) happens. I'm sorry, and I wish it were not the case, but it is.
PLEASE NOTE: Let's not bring gun laws into the discussion and derail the thread. 😀
