I have this issue with my iCloud after iOS 10.3 and Game Center is toggled on as default. Strange thing is however, Game Center can not be toggled off. The link seems broken and as soon as I leave the app after turning it off, it turns itself back on.

Are you serious? When it comes to IOS Updates, Apple’s quality control is a joke now. What would really be Proactive from Apple would be to get rid of all the clowns responsible for the issues coming with almost every single IOS Update for the past few years. Ok that might be a little Reactive too...

Anyone that pays close attention to the Apple universe knows that it's "iOS", with a small "i". Details matter, right? Otherwise what's such a big deal about a minor, harmless bug? We could choose to ignore it, or we could go all up in arms about it and react loudly that Apple is not perfect. We generally expect Apple to be perfect, so should we not hold ourselves to the same standard and make sure that what we put out to the world is absolutely perfect and exact? I do give you points for acknowledging your own reaction. :)

Anyone who uses, thinks, or otherwise believes iCloud is the worst of the cloud services clearly has never used OneDrive (aka. SkyDrive). Easily the very least reliable of any major cloud service provider.

Even with this hiccup, I'd still put iCloud in the top three (3) for reliability--hands-down.

Adguard. They were supposed to have an update out this week to fix the problem but I haven't got anything yet. This app seems to break with every upgrade. When I went from 9.0.2 to 10.1.1, Adguard broke then as well. Also Adblock broke as well as block. Basically any app that blocks ads in apps.
I have been using Private Internet Access VPN, which has built in adblocking. It does pretty good although it doesn't get everything. I have Adguard loaded and was scratching my head wondering about your claim. Once I looked it up and saw there was a pro version available (had forgotten about that), it made sense. I splurged for the $2.00 admission fee. Will be interesting to see if it works when they get the new update. I have the pro version (lifetime subscription (only $50) for Mac and have been very pleased thus far.

Thanks for the mention.

No email:

It turned on game center, backup, wallet and drive. One is meh. The other three are major data leaks.

How can they not test this kind of stuff?

Oh wait, it's because they live online and in the cloud, and ignore those of us with security and privacy restrictions due to corporate (or personal) policies, or who work offline a lot.

Yeah, I might wait for 10.3.1 now.
iOS 10.3.1 was already released yesterday.

Game Center was enabled for me as well, however I was able to disable it and it seems like it has stayed disabled.

Yeah, I noticed. I figured that was on purpose. Apple continues to push out great software.....

and it's time for apple to up iCloud Drive from 5GB to at least 10GB

They really should. A lot of people don't have a backup of their phone because they've exceeded the 5GB allowed and never bothered to upgrade.

Yes, it's only $1 a month, but it's still a psychological barrier of "why should I have to pay for this?" that's really hard to get past in a lot of people.

It would be great if your setting were saved somewhere that you could see - not synced because then they'd all be wrong but just saved. I could then put back setting if I want to - or phone screen organization.

It almost feels like there's something similar going on with some (system) location services that seem to show up unexpectedly since 10.3, although in the case of those it seems like it's not really a settings type of issue given that the settings are actually disabled: 10.3 location service arrow pops up once a while

I was able to turn off the others but Game Center just won't turn off. It toggles off but then is back on as soon as I re enter the settings app. This has to be a bug from 10.3 surely

Potentially under some circumstances or related to something in particular. It doesn't seem like it has gotten re-enabled for me.

Similar kind of thing was happening for Home Control in relation to what's accessible when the device is locked (from Touch ID and Passcode settings) where it either couldn't be toggled off or would toggle back on by itself, but looks like that's working correctly as of 10.3. (That is unless it toggles back on by itself much later.)

Hmmm very strange. When I restore as a new device it seems to be ok. But when I restore my backup the issue arises. Seems to have put some kind of bug in my backup since the update. Hopefully a future update will fix it. Very strange to only be affecting my Game Center toggle though isn't it?

That's me :D I refuse to pay for iCloud storage, I just backup to my computer :p

This isn't really a "break". Likely it would've had very little impact to anyone affected. A break would be something that does not function as intended, and none of these iCloud services were broken, just enabled by mistake.

Can we just have people be thankful for Apple working hard to give us the best devices, online and mobile experiences possible? When has someone stopped and said "Thanks, Apple, for your hard work and commitment to excellence." Things are going always going to be perfect, but at least they do try.
Nah, let's just rake them over the coals every time one insignificant thing happens.

Well, nothing is actually broken in this case. Some settings got changed, which isn't good certainly, but it's a ways off from something being broken or anything like that.

Sorry, but enabling iCloud backups when users (like myself) made very conscious decisions to not enable iCloud backups in the past is breaking something. I happened to catch it immediately so it happened to be a non-issue for me but not everyone did presumably.

Happened here on my iPP 12.9, but didn't receive an email. I only have iCloud Drive, Wallet, Find My Phone, and Contacts enabled by default. The update turned on Mail, Calendars, Reminders, Notes, News, Home, Game Center, and iCloud Backup. Looking at the settings now, and I believe I had disabled most of my apps from storing data on iCloud Drive. They're all on at the moment. Not 100% certain, but fairly certain most of these apps were off.

So, wait for the x.x.1 updates?

I remember Microsoft, back in the 'NT days', would occasionally release an update that would reintroduce a flaw that a subsequently break the fix. Like, wow... Flashbacks...

I don't know 10.3 because I did not tried it, but 10.3.1 is impressive, very fast and very smooth on my iPad Air 1. Much better than on iOS 10.2.

I'm eager to see how it performs on my SE!!!
