Just some ideas on how Apple can improve the product for round 2:

- Shrink the depth of the 'tin can', it is pretty large
- Bigger display, there is some non-display bezel area that can be filled
- Better battery life / speed (basically new version of CPU)
- Wireless charging

Any more ideas?

If Apple built the Apple watch 2 with your ideas it would have a 2 hour battery life.

You can't make it thinner, larger and faster and improve battery at the same time.

I don't understand the thickness argument. Both my current watches are thicker.

I wish the iPhone would get thicker too and have a larger battery.

they better not make the dam thing smaller when they could have put more battery life.
It sounds like you don't own one since these things are tiny :p

We're talking about watches here or are you not paying attention?
You were talking about how it's impossible to make things larger, faster, and have better battery life. I pointed out how it's already been done. Good try though...

I don't care if it is the Apple watch 2, 3, or 4, but the next one I buy after this will have to have the LCD screen laminated to the glass.

Maybe have what samsung has, a camera. Much easier interface

There is zero practical use for a camera on a watch besides being a creeper feature.

Again, we're talking about the Apple watch here but thanks for adding your 2 cents about another product that ISNT the apple watch.

You're so missing the point. Technology is technology... but carry on, and don't bother responding to this comment, as you won't get a response back from me.

I think a better question would be when do you think the next Apple Watch will be announced?

  • A year after the announcement or
  • A year after launch

That is literally what every other iPhone generation did.

This is already a feature.

Ya but iPhones weren't working with 1.5 square inch of space for battery to fit in and components were getting smaller with each new revision. The Apple watch is already crammed for space and barely has any modules in it.

God, can we get over thinness. Realistically, how much thinner can these devices get? My iPhone 6 Plus is so light, I don't want a lighter phone. It's starting to show that Apple is running out of ideas.

So they keep going with the dumb marketing of thinner, lighter, even when it isn't practical. So they cut features from their products to achieve something no one is really asking for. Like the new iMac. Why? What are they going to do in five years when they can't trim down their products anymore? Does anyone want an iPad that weights as much as four sheets of paper?

The watch isn't that thick. Sorry for the rant, but this has to stop. It's getting old. Make it slighter thicker and add GPS :D

Im not sure if its going to be a yearly cycle or 2 years or 18 months. But do you think they will update it like the iphones? Same design for 2 years then change design? With hardware upgrade like s1 chip every year?

Iphone 3g, 3gs

4, 4s

5, 5s

6, 6s

The smartwatch market will grow, others will compete, and even though Apple busted open the market, it will be necessary for them to try and stay ahead of the pack.

So while I wouldn't necessarily expect something as rapid as iPhone updates, I doubt we will see more than 2 years between Watch iterations, maybe less.

Also, the Apple Watch 2 will have a 4K screen. <-this is a joke
