Another grandstanding politician!

Yep, not even hiding it! It's become a thing to try and associate yourself with apple no matter if you are hating or loving to get some reflected cool points.

The only issue with the apple watch is the sharing of medical data with doctors. Once out of the apple ecosystem it's going to be sold and used in ways that can't be controlled and that is a little bit dangerous.

It's grandstanding right after iCloud nudes gate and is really transparent.

They should send him a letter saying it's not out yet and he'll have to wait.

Does smell suspiciously like political grandstanding. That being said I don't mind someone asking these questions - if for no other reason than to help keep companies in check. If they know it's coming hopefully they'll be less likely to try and overstep, and if they do maybe we'll find out?? Also Tim Cook won't listen to a letter from me...soooo.

Obvious Play

The Connecticut Attorney General, out of all people! Out of all issues that he would be addressing for his state, he is picking on something that is not even on the market.
I think he is looking for an election contribution from Apple..:rolleyes::rolleyes:

He must be a Democrat. Always looking for ways to insert government control into your private business.

That's funny, because the Tea Party would be even more paranoid and push even harder...Apple might try to disable a gun with this watch, or make people gay.

Hipaa

While this does just sound like someone trying to get their 15 minutes of fame by persecuting Apple, HIPAA laws in this country have incredibly strict standards. Apple does have to show the standards by which the information will be protected and secured to at least the minimum extent of the law, which varies by state sometimes. If this information will in fact be used to link up to hospitals and be transferred to a medical record, it will have to be done in an encrypted way.

The request is ridiculous given that the watch isn't even announced yet, but Apple will have to prove to the Feds that it has taken all of the necessary precautions. Knowing Apple, I am sure they have already thought of this and it won't be much of an issue.

VERY weird how people buy all these gadgets then want to scream "What about my privacy???" when you have Facebook, twitter, instagram, vine, and your b00bs showing for everyone to see. I dont want privacy anymore. ;):D

More government thugs come to squash innovation. This is why it takes a company the size of Apple to innovate these days, they're the only ones that can afford the legal bills.

The US Government is long for GOD. They control all, know you're place in society for the Government will ensure you're prosecuted, or even executed.

I hate how much of a cespool government is. Just my /rant.

I really like the the Apple watch ! :) absolutely a gorgeous design

Here's an idea George. Concentrate on writing laws that don't suck, and provide clear unambiguous rules for how all companies should treat our personal data. Leave the concern for unreleased products to message boards like this one.

I think his fella who wrote the letter is just hoping to get a hands on with the watch before release date.

There's a pretty big difference between someone volunteering information and it being shared without their knowledge and/or consent.

many watches and bands do exist, why is this attorney not interested in the others then ?

I wish Apple luck with that watch thing but I think it's going to be a hard sell.

It will be a niche thing for the geeks and extravagant.

Wait, is this a joke or are you serious? Come on. We both know this thing will sell millions and millions and will set the standard for smart watches, and will get better and better with each generation.

$350 is not a lot of money for a watch, let alone a smart watch. I, and a lot of other people, have mechanical watches that cost much more than that.

Time will tell, but I believe the Apple Watch will be a very good seller.
