But you can't actually listen to Spotify via the watch and Bluetooth headphones? It will only play via the Pacemaker app on the iPhone with the watch controlling that app?

I'd like to be able to stream Spotify to the watch and listen there. I was hoping I could have accessed my iTunes library too on my iPhone and played it via the watch, not just control it. I guess battery would drain too quickly. I hate having to create playlists from iTunes on the Mac, sync to iPhone, and then sync to Apple Watch. Apple Watch sync is so slow!

No 3rd party apps will allow you to do that yet, even a Spotify app. Later in the year this will change but for now the watch apps are just remotes for the phone apps.

I'm using Joy for Spotify both on the iPhone and Apple Watch. Works well by voice commands. The app must be open on the phone to use the watch App, but its a nice feature to have.

Not heard of this before. just downloaded its really good. Thanks for the heads up

I'm also using Joy and it works great. I stumbled across it last week.
