Spotify and Sonos are definitely the two big apps which would be brilliant to have. Not holding my breath though for them anytime soon, Spotify took forever just to optimise the iOS app for the 6/6 Plus.

I agree, it was a painfully long time before Spotify upgraded their iOS app, so since it hasn't been mentioned for the Watch, I'm not going to be holding my breath. But I wonder if the watch will be able to have generic control over whatever app you have on your phone playing audio, be it Spotify, Audible, or Stitcher for example. These can all be controlled with the Control Panel on your phone, so can the Watch also do the same without having an app specific widget?

What must be there for me is either Notes App by Apple or Evernote. So the notes can sync from my phone to watch.

All of these would be great for me.

Battery waster. Anything that takes more than a glance or a couple of taps on the watch takes too long. May as well use iphone.

If the deciding factor of buying an Apple watch for you is an app you are missing the entire purpose of the watch. It's not a mini iPhone strapped to your wrist.

It is a means to perform your day to day simple interactions with your phone in a more convenient way. Any app that may come along that is innovative is welcome.

Personally for me I like the remote camera app that's baked into the OS. It lets you use your watch as the view finder of your phones camera so you can take pics without a selfie stick

that's why i want an onstar app that allows me to unlock/lock/start my car! such a pain to get my phone or fob out of my purse! :p

LOVE the idea of a remote camera app!

While I agree with this, it would be sweet to control spotify and do voice searches on your wrist.

I could be totally wrong, but the position one needs to have their arm/wrist in order to interact with the watch is quite uncomfortable. Add to this the poor battery life, and I'd be surprised if anyone would really want to have extended or frequent periods of interaction with their watch.

I was just talking about using the Apple Watch as a controller for the spotify app on iPhone. The Apple Watch gets 5 hours of heavy app usage and if Spotify had an Apple Watch app, I probably would keep it open for more than 20 minutes in a given day.
