How much were the first HDTVs in the 1990s? How much was the first iPhone? Huge difference there. I think I just found the reason why you did not see many.... The key difference he is that people wanted a HDTV, they could not afford it. People can afford a Smartwatch (very cheap), they do not want it, hence in my opinion a flop.
It's not for you and that's fine but doesn't make it a flop

What don't you like about them?
I've tried a moto 360 and two AW, while I liked notifications , I found I used the phone to reply.

For me it's like using desktop sites and mobile version of sites, I find desktop more intuitive and easier to use.

Frankly I was after an excesise accessory, and I like my watch, AW is not a very good exercise accessory, there are better bands out there.

I really wanted to like it , bought it twice , thought went for my mechanical watch most days.

Not to mention in am older now and a classy mechanical watch is much more elegant than a phone accessory ....smart watches remind me of the calculator watches...

How did you find battery life with your iphone with the watch?

OK so there was no difference with or without watch on then

With Bluetooth constantly on, there was a hit, though not massive in my case as I am not a heavy user by any stretch .

Though Bluetooth is constantly on, it's off balanced by the iPhone screen being off as you can use the watch for more .

I would be interested in one when I get 6 plus S but still in two minds really. Dunno to wait for next version.

As I had the gear S and this blows that away with what it can do.

Good to get feedback from yourself though on your experiences

If you are a current user of smart watches, it's the best one.

On my right wrist I use a Microsoft band right now , as it's an excellent exercise unit. I hope the next AW has GPS.

You think the pebble watch is the best option then? Looks cheapest at £96

I own a pebble watch, and with the iPhone at least, I find that it is great for its price, but I find myself often wishing I could do more with it.

For example, I can view incoming notifications, but not respond to them in any meaningful way. So I can't quick-reply to messages, or delete / archive junk mail. I can decline incoming calls though, which is useful. I do find it handy for knowing the nature of an incoming notification without having to take out my phone. Can't see myself going without one now that I am accustomed to such "prescience".

Tough call, if I was into smart watches I would want the best one, and that is the AW.

Its just that it is not a very good fitness accessory, hence i returned 2, a mate of mine at the gym also hates his AW as its so inaccurate at tracking his workouts.
