I'm in the UK and no charge or change of status yet, hopefully the fact that you asked means I'm not alone?

My past 'launch day' online ordered iphones (5+6) and ipad air 2 have all shipped direct from China to my door in the UK. I don't recall exactly when the cards were charged, but the order status didn't change till the day before (order was moved forward by a week for the 6 :D), about 30 hours before delivery. I've got my fingers crossed that's the case here for the Sport/green strap at least; the Space grey (mine grrr!) has a 12 may+ date and I'm not feeling optimistic....

Maybe the fairly advanced shipping makes more sense for the US, whereas UK/Europe hubs are closer to point of delivery. Wishful thinking?

Congrats to those with a result already - this is worse than being a five yo on Xmas eve!

Ok wait. Are we starting to think that U.S. 12:03 space grey with a 24-08 date and has not been charged yet we won't get on the 24th?? Or do I need to go back on my medication??

- 38mm White Sport w/white sport band. 12:04, 04/24-05/08. Preparing for Shipment :D
- 42mm Space Grey Sport w/black sport band. 12:04, 04/24-05/08. Still Processing

U.S., S. California

There seems to be a pattern going with 42mm space gray, or am I crazy?

One site I saw a day after order day was running a poll with about 1,000+ votes that had space grey at something like 58 percent of orders. I hope Apple got the maths right in advance...

I would assume that Apple shipped every Space Grey Sport they have and that there will be a delay before the next batch ships. Hopefully we (the 12:03 crowd) will be getting ours from that batch. How long will the delay be? I'd put my money on a few days to a week at least.

The optimistic part of me says maybe Apple hit a wall with how many items they could ship today and will continue tomorrow, but I wouldn't bet on it.

All speculation of course.

They're likely processing them in large batches. They need to address issues that inevitably arise when charging cards. They can likely only handle so many credit card hiccups at a time and to ensure a better customer experience, limit their daily processing. They'll likely process for 3 more days.

I'm one of the lucky ones, apparently. Favorited the two watches I wanted in the store app, made sure everything was in order on the app (billing address, apple pay, etc.) started refreshing the app at 3:00 AM EST, and was able to get right in at 3:01. I knew I needed to order the space grey first, so as soon as it came up, I clicked buy with :apple:pay, scanned my fingerprint, and the deed was done - an incredibly smooth process all around. Got my wife's 38 MM sport right after - both orders coming through at 3:01 AM. The store app with :apple:pay is undoubtedly the way to go for any future releases where there is limited stock.

When you used Apple Pay, did they allow you to select which card to use, or did it just charge the default card automatically?

Why not get the white? If it's good enough for Tim Cook, it's good enough for anyone.

May be he is a follower.

I got myself Rado Gold Original Automatic Diastar with 11 big diamonds. Now that's timeless in real sense.

No, as my iPhone 5 and a lot of people's iPhone 6's/6+ were shipped from warehouses in the UK for launch day as well. Which means we might not be charged until Thursday for next day delivery

"but Apple executives did tell one MacRumors reader that those orders could arrive sooner than expected as supplies ramp up"

Now i'm super-excited... :D

Apple must be the only company in the world that people celebrate getting bills/invoices from them.

"Apple want my money, I have to pay Apple"
Yay lets celebrate. Party time.

Yes this is as wrong and absurd as it sounds.
