Apple Watch Charges Begin Showing Up On Credit and Debit Cards

Posted to the other thread, but I know people are desperate! :) I just got a notification that my card was charged a few minutes ago for the 42mm Space Grey Sport.

I ordered my wife a White 38mm at 12:02 am which was charged and prepared yesterday and the 42mm Space Grey which was ordered at 12:03 am was just charged at 1:06 PDT today. I was getting pretty worried since only the 12:01 and 12:02 purchases were getting charged yesterday, but we must have just been on todays flight .

I'm getting pretty anxious about when my Watch will be coming in. I ordered the SS milanese loop at 2:13AM CT and I got the May 13-27th estimate. 2 minutes before I placed my order I had the earliest estimated delivery time.

Got in touch with Apple support to ask them if there is a chance I can get it close to the initial batch and I attached what they said. So my hopes are still up sort of! Haven't seen any charge posted to my account yet and it still says processing.

EDIT:

Still new to this forum so not sure why my pics did not upload. Main gist was that if you ordered within the initial 30 minutes of pre-order you should expect to be part of the first wave and that Apple will most likely beat the estimated delivery date you got.

Didn't even know people were bothering with them in the first place :p As stated, I'm new to the forum plus didn't read every single post someone made. Besides, as Apple reps in the dispatch department it is their jobs to let customers know the status of their order. If anything, I'm benefitting the rep by helping them lower their average handle time with my quick question.
 
Woohoo! My wife's 38 SS w/ ML just got charged. Ordered at 2:06am. My 42 SS w/ blk sprt band ordered at 2:05am, no change.

There's been tons of people posting chats with Apple Online Reps, they have all given conflicting information. They're unreliable. Some have claimed today that no-one has been charged. Some say that they're not even leaving warehouses until Friday. No point bothering to trust them in this occasion. Hell, they stated that the Watch comes with 2 complete bands and not 1 and a half.
 
Wonder what is going on here - ordered at 2:03 am CDT, got email confirmation at 2:04, but still no hit to my AMEX - don't tell me they are still shipping these only as they build them...
 
Yes, just got charged for my SG Sport 42mm confirmed at 12:03!

But really I'm just excited because I want Apple to have my money. :0p

BTW my order info hasn't changed from processing items yet. I just know because of the Apple Pay notification.

Ah I get what you are saying. Didn't get your point at first. Well, the best we can hope for is that someone is right out there. I just hope that maybe I was close to the initial batch. Would've ordered sooner but I hesitated with the purchase before submitting it which costs me an extra 3 minutes haha

Also, there's been about 10 new threads alone from people having 'chats' with the Apple Reps, the majority were giving conflicting information.

It's all dependent on Model, Band, then time ordered. It's not as straight forward as the iPad/iPhone launches.

I'm not missing the point. What you say is true but Apple already have a way to let us know exactly where our ordered products are on the shipping process. I kept up to date with it each day when the iMac was on it's way to me. It's not hard to check that and know.

What I said above is true. If it was not then an article would not have been written about it here at MR. It's not a bad thing you know, people just love Apple a lot even down to the Apple invoices they get. Well that's the facts (what I just stated). Accept them or deny them, your choice.

again you miss the point. Us in the UK have had charges applied at 4pm, but no status change, it's now gone 10pm and no update from Apple, but in having that charge applied, means that we know that it will ship in the next day or so, meaning we will get our watches on Friday. There are some in the same 2 week banding that have not been charged, they now know that they are less likely to have their watch on Friday. If anyone that has or has not been charged were to check with Apple, it will still say the 2 week window.

Is that clearer? or do you still not get it whatsoever?! Also, Macrumors posted an article about charges being applied and that it meant there was movement on pre-orders, which is basically covering the same thing I am trying to explain to you.

The status will change once it's shipped. People need to learn to have a little patience. MacRumors posted the article for the same reason people replied to it. They love Apple. That's all there is to it. And I am aware that the slightest hint of a product movement get an article write up here. That is what MR does.

There is no reason to say I do not understand something that I have clearly proved that I do understand. I think if I remember correctly I even got an email from Apple (or the carrier) saying my iMac was shipped. So the whole using credit card charges to know that their product will sip soon technically does work with Apple but it also shows their very obsessive love for everything Apple even the Apple CC charges. Slightly weird but that's Apple fans for ya :)
I just waited for the email saying my iMac was shipped then checked the bank account to make sure I was charged correctly. That's it.

Either you're willing to accept what I'm saying or we agree to disagree. Well I'm not disagreeing with you I'm just saying it's information they will alter get and them wanting it now is one symptom of their obsessive love for Apple. But if you can't handle or accept what I am saying then this conversation is over. I've been very civil, accepting and understanding of what you've said. If you can't do the same to what I've said then we have nothing further to discuss as anymore I say will just be ignored. I hope this is not the case but we shall soon see.

You're missing the point. It's not about being charged; its an early marker that the device is about to ship imminently when its clear some will have a very long wait. Since for some it comes before shipment status changes and essentially means the same thing, its being celebrated. The rest is basically humour - what's so wrong with that?

Thanks. A bit distracted elsewhere and missed the other threads entirely.

EDIT: Excellent! Just checked my card and I have a 299GBP transaction pending; that'll be my girlfriends 38mm Sport/green strap ordered @0806, no status change yet.

I'm away from Sat for a month, so its now a nailbiter as to whether my SG 42mm slated for 12-26 May catches up.
