I don't think so. These watch-related apps are dark for consistency with the watch UI. Not using bright backgrounds saves battery life.
it's also to blend with the dark bezel of the watch.

Yup. And believe it or not, this can change the social scene where people will not be staring at their phones the whole trip of on a bus, just glancing on their watches and being more social.
That kind of looks better than the iOS Settings app...
I am going to wait and see, Maybe the second generation, No way if the steel with nice strap is more than $500,... oh well, it is not so expensive even if I use it for a year. Think about wifes shoes or the benefit I will have by going for a walk every day, let us get it and think about it later.I don't want an Apple watch, I don't want an Apple watch, I don't want an Apple watch, I don't want an Apple watch...
When do preorders start?
I understand your point but no one makes it special for left-handers. I had the same thought as most likely I will get an Apple Watch and will have a lot more interaction compared to my current watch. So wait, if you're left-handed you have to wear the watch upside down?!?!
Apple has obviously determined that the user experience/look of the watch is best with the crown on top and the secondary button below, but screw left-handers.
I just don't get it, man... the thing is two inches from your phone when your hands are at your sides. To each their own...
Forget about the Watch, iOS REALLY needs a dark mode.
I think the biggest thing is that, for example, when you are driving, you don't have to use your phone (and jeopardize your life) to check texts, social media, and GPS directions. You can now just glance at your wrist when it's on the steering wheel.
But your iPhone has. The app would remember the last GPS position from the iPhone while the Apple Watch was connected, in other words where you "lost" it. Just the same way like Find my iPhone can remember the iPhone's last position before the battery dies.
The one feature that I have been wondering about is whether you'll be able to sync your saved offline music from the beats app instead of just the music app.
The only music I now listen to is through streaming and I'm sure there are many in the same position.
Good point. But If it's moved. this is useless.
If the Apple Watch mirrors the iPhone's Airplane Mode setting, then how does it know it can reconnect when the iPhone Airplane Mode is turned back off.
This doesn't apply on the iPhone because it doesn't have an AMOLED display. On the iPhone a backlight is always on while the phone is in use, even when the entire screen is black. On the Watch there is no backlight, as each pixel is lit independently. Therefore, while a black background is displayed on the Watch most of the pixels are turned off, saving energy.
I've personally gave up on iTunes years ago. I want to know if Spotify will release an Apple Watch app. Since you can store playlists locally on Spotify, I see no reason why that couldn't implement a "save and sync playlist" feature as well.

People do not get "extradited" over their breach of an electronic contractual agreement.
In the short term, at least, I believe most Watch apps will actually be iPhone apps with an Watch component. So it will be up to Spotify to either create a new app or to enhance their existing iOS app to include Watch functionality.
