The Apple Employee store has (or at least, had) the Apple Watch for sale since day one. Apple also offers varying discounts to affiliated companies, but often limits availability when supplies are short.
We have one for Pixar Employees.

Has anyone (outside Apple, Inc) seen the watch listed in their store yet? With supplies and lead times shrinking, and the watch appearing in stores soon, I'd expect to see it listed soon.

I didn't see it in the epp store I use. The entire watch category was missing. Without mentioning my employer here, let's just say it's not Apple. Today I checked and the watch category has now showed up, however there appears to be no discount on the watch or on Applecare+. I checked Sport, Watch and Edition versions.

I can confirm the Watch has also just appeared (since last Friday I think), in the EPP store available via the company I work for. No price reduction as per other products available.

It should not be a lot longer before they are found in stores as it took only 24 hours for Apple to deliver my 42mm SS with brown loop! Ordered yesterday and now on the truck for delivery. Originated in Ontario Canada!

Apple must be catching up on some models, unless you want the SB

@xRYD3Rx - they're talking about Apple EPP made available to other corporations - it's a marginal discount.

You'll laugh at this, but even BlackBerry had an EPP program with Apple (we bought a lot of Mac's and MacBooks for our engineering teams). Heh, and that was before we had an internal EPP program (so, you could get a discounted iPhone, but not a discounted BlackBerry) :) (yes, one of the many quirks of my former employer).

@Newtons Apple - I wonder if the in-store availability may not be today. May trip down to Waterloo to check out the store there. My SB SS just shipped, so it's time to grab a sports band to swap out on it. :) (wish they'd hurry the hell up and make the red sports band available).

I hope you are successful. Funny that the watch I ordered yesterday and arrives today originated from Ontario Canada! I always like you Canadians!

Oh...wait. Are you sure it wasn't Ontario, CA? (CA being California). That appears to be a western distribution point for UPS and I think Apple has a warehouse there.

Me, I thought it was kinda silly for them to name a town in California "Ontario", as it'll throw a lot of people off that are familiar with Canada. :)

Yep, YOU are correct! I guess CA did not tip it off for me when I saw Ontario! I STILL love the Canadians, anyway! I would love to visit, it is top of my bucket list!

Toronto's a great city. Vancouver's very nice as well (but, not the experience that Toronto is). If you're a foodie, T.O. is where it's at. Pick any nationality on planet earth and go downtown and eat their food. Awesome!! :)

The Bier Markt also has the best selection of beer I've seen anywhere (their beer menu is like a phone book!) :)
http://www.thebiermarkt.com - they also have the best mussels in town! :) (and a fantastic patio)

There is a wide range of EPP stores for Apple out there, with varying degrees of discounts and policies. We happen to have one with a very healthy discount off of Apple products, with yearly purchasing limits per category. It is very much worth it to be patient, as in-demand products can take awhile before they show up in the store.

As it stands now, there is no watch category in our Apple EPP (personal discount) store. Nor does the new MacBook show in the Mac category. This leads me to believe the discount will apply when the watch becomes available, but I'm not sure when that will be. Since all watch types/bands are now shipping, I am expecting (hoping) soon.

Question: Do other EPP stores offer a percentage discount, or is it similar to Apple education discount (which I believe is a flat $50)? If it is a flat discount, that could explain why it shows in some EPP stores, but not others. A $50 discount from a 38mm sport edition would be a very nice discount.

Still no watches listed in our EPP store.

Darn, I thought with the watches now available in Apple brick/mortar stores, Apple would open it up to all EPP stores.

It's available in the EPP store for the company I work for.

But, like was posted above, there is no discount.

I think the normal discount is between 4-6% depending on the item.

How did you manage that? That's a 50% discount, and was only available to Apple employees during the first two weeks after launch. Currently, Apple employees are not offered the watch through their EPP discount store.

I emailed EPP support about the AW availability. Here is the response:

------------

Thank you for your help request.

Currently, the watch is not available through the normal employee discount store, and we don’t have a timetable on when it will be added. It will most likely be available for discount once ship times for all models normalize and initial customer demand is met. I would keep an eye on the store for future updates.

If you have any otters questions or concerns, please let us know.
Sincerely,

Jeff

At the risk of over parsing, the sentence "I would keep an eye on the store for future updates." seems to indicate it could be available anytime soon.

I'm glad the discount isn't on the Apple Watch because I forgot to check our company's Apple Store discount store before I ordered. :-/

No. It's not in the store yet.

I think it was posted on Macrumours, but the internal memo about the 50% discount off of 1 watch gave a hint as to when it will.
