    Hello,

I am wondering if an Apple watch would be great for triathlon training sessions. In particular I am curious how well it works to track the swimming distance indoors and also how well it works during the competition.

Anyone with experience on this? Preferably with the latest watch but any experience or app suggestion for that matter is helpful and welcome.

    Thanks in advance

I find it great in the pool myself, logs the strokes/lap counts very well. It struggles a bit with drills like kicking obviously as you are not moving your arms.

Thanks - that website is really helpful. Lots of information there.

One question that came to my mind when reading - is there any way to display the .FIT files from the watch on the Mac? Or is a custom Numbers document the way to go.

Not sure, I just use Strava for all my activities. I think Sport Tracks is a good one for swimming as it utilises all the data the watch gives, stroke rate/swolf etc.

Swimming on the watch I personally believe is its best activity tracking. The stroke detection is simply amazing - as as swimming watch I can’t imagine a better implementation.
