Hello Everyone,

I was wondering if anyone has gotten the notification for the 3.5 mile workout for this Saturday. Typically we get it at the beginning of the week for the event, and nothing has popped up for me yet so I feel thats kind of strange.

Thanks!

Weird. I never even got it in my achievements. I really like doing these challenges, but this Saturday is not a good day, so I'm trying to rework my schedule, but I want to verify its actually happening before I try to move things around. Being that its less than 72 hours away, I not sure whats going on.

For a fact it was there and said the 15th. I then checked the calendar to line up a running day and since it is Saturday I am fine. Oddly went to show it to a friend this morning and it is MIA.

I really want to get that achievement as I have gotten all the special ones in the past. I'm doing a 16 mile river raft that day, so to do 3.5 miles then raft all day, or raft all day then do 3.5 miles, is going to suck! I just hope maybe they changed it! :D

I hope they change it too, going camping with a bunch of people and I can’t just say “going to go run 3.5 miles I’ll be back”

3,5 miles? 35 min running max. I think your friends can spare you that time
Well, if you are camping, 3.5 miles even running will take longer than 35 minutes, because you probably don't have a track area to run. Second, not everyone is capable of running a 10 minute mile for 3.5 flat out. I'm fit, but thats pushing my limitations.

It’s not about me being unfit for it, hell I can and have run twice that (and recently too)

but it’ll be a little awkward; it’s probably not going to be a huge area so I’ll just be doing laps around a small area while my peers are hanging around talking

Maybe I'm pushing it a bit but couldn't you do the walk in the morning before leaving? :)

Neither have I. Was it world wide or US only again?
It is a worldwide challenge...if it ever shows up. More about the supposed challenge here. Here's a little snippet from that link:

Apple Newsroom said:
On July 15, Apple Watch users around the world can complete a walk, run or wheelchair workout of 3.5 miles (5.6 km) to earn an award and stickers for Messages inspired by national parks.

I just find it very odd its still not in the activity app. Those special challenges always show up the Monday of the week that the challenge takes place.

Im pretty sure the Mothers day and the Earth day only came a couple of days ahead of event.

Yep, just checked back, the Mothers day rolled out on Friday before Mothers day(Sunday) and Earth day rolled out on Thursday before the Saturday event.

So I would expect it to roll out tomorrow.

What? I got my Mother's Day event notification the Monday before Mother's Day. I got the Earth Day on the Monday of Earth Day. I always get the notification with my weekly summer.

How can you check back?

That also doesn't explain why Julien saw it already but then vanished.

Please Apple push it back a week. Lol

I honestly think he is mistaken. Seems pretty odd one person would get and no else has.

The above links are when they were announced and when they actually rolled out to devices.
Hmm. I don't understand. I knew about the Mother's Day before I even checked Macrumors cause I got the pop up when I woke up in the morning and put my watch on. And that was on the 8th, before the article was even published. Thanks for finding the articles tho.

The rafting sounds great haha. I'm heading to the US later this year to do a road trip around a whole bunch of the national parks. Incredibly excited!
It's funny because I'm gonna be in a national park, but the 3.5 added miles is gonna hurt. Any other day, sure!

Gonna hit up Yosemite or Zion while here?
