Ordered a Nike+ Series 4 GPS+Cellular 44mm Silver Aluminum with the Platinum/Black Nike Sport Band online at 11 AM CDT this morning for pickup at Mall of America Apple store at 5 PM today. Just received confirmation that my order is ready for pickup.

First time Apple watch owner.

Well if I was going to get an aluminium version, I would get the Nike... Identical watch case, but great sports straps and more options for the watch faces..
You’ve been able to buy sports straps separately, so basically, just a Nike watch face or two? Cool, but I don’t think that’s worth the extra few weeks of waiting.

I’ve had two generations of the Nike edition, but went with the regular Sport one this year. I’ve still got my old Nike straps. I don’t think the Nike faces are a draw unless you use the Nike running app — as you’re stuck with the non-changeable Nike complication. I’ve tried more than once to love the Nike app, but keep on coming back to the built-in Workout app, which is now better than ever for running with the new Watch OS.
I’m a runner and I prefer the Workout App. It’s great.

Traded in my Nike + Series 3 for a Nike + Series 4 for today. Ease of ordering this morning at 8am was too easy.

I will say, with all of the graphical upgrades that the Apple Watch received in the watch faces department like Infograph and Infograph Modular, the Nike watch faces look super dated. They could use an upgrade or something to add some flare. The color blocked ones seem like a lazy attempt.

In any case you are in the Apple pre-order line and waiting for 3-4 weeks go to Nike.com they have the watch in stock. You can probably get it tomorrow if you are lucky. Thank me later ;)

Shame there’s no options for a space grey watch with something other than a black strap. I’d like the dark blue Nike one.

Does anyone know if they want the band and charging adapter with the Apple GiveBack Trade in Offer or just the watch?
I would think Apple doesn't have much use for random peoples' grubby, worn wristbands... :)

Why would anyone buy this in the first place??
Me personally? I like the aluminium look, and now with the ceramic back I get a more premium feel than my old OG alu watch with its plastic back. And the sport loop with reflective thread, which can't be had any other way - right now anyway. Especially as I don't own any sport loop bands yet. And also, it costs exactly the same as the regular alu watch too, so instead of why would I it's more like why wouldn't I.

Because those watch faces are useless to me. I like faces that have way more functionality. Why would I wait for those watch faces? And I prefer adidas and asics over Nike...and I’m not a brand name kinda gal.

But it still nicer to have the option rather than not. If the two are available side by side why pay the same for less?

I was able to place my order just right now for a 6:30-7pm check in window for in store pickup. Going on my lunch break which is a short walk in SF. 44mm black sport loop WiFi.

What kind of running do you do? This would be my first watch and I was waiting for the Nike because all the reviews say it's better for runners.

I'd be running 2-6 miles with the occasional 10 mile run.

I do about 15-20 miles a week, with distances typically 4-8 miles per run, occasionally 10. And I do about six half marathons a year. I think AW is fine for that type of recreational running.

Nike usually has 20% or 25% off sale coupons...but I think the series 4 will qualify for Nike’s coupon in a few months.

I bought the Series 3 with a 25% off coupon back in April/May.

Can someone please explain how you get these coupons?

Does anyone know if nike is getting a cut from sales or these watches? Seems odd to limit the Nike watch face and band selection to this particular line.

Still don't understand why there isn't a sapphire screen on these things; it's a sport watch. Would've been a wonderful transition in price too. Add $100 to the base aluminum and thusly be an intermediate price point between the base and the stainless series. The fym is basically the only time my watch comes into consrct with anything other than clothing.
