Ordered my dad's 42mm SS Milanise first w/estimated 4/24-5/8 shipping.
Ordered my Sports 42mm Space Grey Black band w/estimated 5/13-5/27 shipping.
Email receipt times are 12:04am and 12:05am respectively.
Jeez, that's ridiculous for the Sports that within 4 min of Apple Store app going online, the shipping times slipped.

Yes, it looks like the Space Black and Gray models among others had production issues. Yet to see anyone w/ launch day delivery or p/u. I'm not a TC fan but a little shocked how he botched this launch. It's not the first time he has done that but he was so public and Apple so loud with the pre-order build up. My respect for him as a CEO has dropped another notch. Maybe Apple will miraculously ship by launch but right now May is not near launch.
I ordered the same and got 4/24-5/8, timestamp on email was 2:08 Central. Ordered through app.
Edit: it took a few minutes for the email to arrive though, it was not instant.
well, i have got my confirmation, too - but apple is totally "down" - if i click on any of their links (order status, order number, ...) there only errors appears
- isn't it a billion $ company trying to offer quality "only apple can do" ;-)

From a business standpoint, it's smart, but from a $200 billion in the bank standpoint, ludicrous.
They have ultimate buying power, machine time and everyone wants to lick Apple's butthole. There is no excuse for this. Either the watch is ready, or it isn't. It seems it is, indeed, not ready.
Honestly, this is probably the most simple device they have created since the mouse (parts/assembly wise) and they don't have any stock. I just don't get it.
Ordered 42mm Sport / Blue in 3 minutes via Apple Store App. Also ordered Black Sport Band and extra charging cable via second order. Both deliver 4/25-5/8. Took longer to post this message than place order.

I go through this every time. You'd think they'd have the infrastructure by now but they haven't had an error free launch in the past 8 years. Why start now?
