I'm speculating that when the Watch is widely available for retail purchase there won't be lines, which is weird considering the history of iPhone and iPad launches.
When the watch becomes widely available for pick-up in store, most of the core fans would already have the watch through online store.
Everything you did on your Apple Watch can be done easier & more through/options on the iPhone.
I can do EVERTHING and more using my iPhone and it's only 1-2 seconds away from my back pocket.

Also, some us use keyboards or work on HW using both hands.
I can place my iPhone in viewing distance to monitor notifications.
You would need to take your Apple Watch off and place/balance it closely within your view to do the same.
Also if a phone call comes through, I can answer it quicker since the screen is right in front of me.

Once they get calling and other options on a smart watch, I think the general public will dive in.

Buyers remorse makes you say strange things to justify the expense.

*I've only seen one Apple Watch in the wild and that was my friends!
Where are these Apple Watch owners?
May be Seattle is not in to the Apple Watch???

You can receive calls on the Apple Watch.

I prefer to see my notification and respond to calls on my watch rather than pulling my phone out of my pocket in many many situations, such as when im bicking or jogging, swiming or showering, cooking, etc. etc. so stop your bitching please, and get out of this thread in which you seems to be zero interested in.

You swim with your watch? Any problems?

If it's anything like the demo appointments, which they said you had to make in advance, they'll make you an appointment right away in store if they aren't to busy. That's what we did in Willow Grove. Probably depends on the store though.
You can make a reservation appointment online. That way the model you want won't sell out by the time you make it to the store. You can use the Apple
store app.

Going to pickup a 38mm white sport to go along with my 42mm black. Reservation process was a little overly complicated though.

I'd try to go to the store, reserve it on one of the computers there, and see if I can pick it up.
You can do walk ins but the model you want might already be sold out when you walk in to the store. I would recommend doing the reservation appointment online at home first then going to the store. Chances are you can always cancel if you don't want it anymore. But at least the watch you want will be reserved if they have it in stock.

So, despite my not wanting one, my job now requires me to be familiar with it as we'll probably be building an app sooner or later. I reserved one this morning, and that was a ridiculously complicated reservation process. Select the one I want, select the store, text a code to a #, receive a code back, finish. WHY did I need to do the code for code thing. I mean, that was just so stupid.

I'm waiting on UPS right now for my 38mm BSB. Considering going for the classic buckle instead. I don't think its worth the extra $100, but I like the feel of it a lot better.

Just walked out from the store! Gorgeous watch!

Picked my 42mm BSB up today at the Apple Store here in Richmond, VA. Guy said I was the first one to purchase it in store there...they said they're taking walk-ins too because they have the inventory currently. Everything but the Watch Edition.

Walked into the Apple Store in Natick, Massachusetts and purchased a Watch without having a reservation.

Same with me, the employees were SO excited, I went in there around 11:30 and they said I was the very first person to come pick up a watch. I did leave with two of them, 42MM and a 38MM green sports for the misses.

I started off with the BSB, now also got a black leather loop. I think it is good to have a Sport Band as well as another one. The Sport Band is good for whenever your wrist is likely to get wet, sweaty or dirty. It would be a shame to ruin a more expensive band. It also has the psychological effect of getting out of your work wear, I change my band as soon as I finish work.

Did you put your Mercedes in the background on purpose?
You do know peasants do not own Apple products.... or at least they should not be able to afford them. This degrades the Apple brand when peasants are using/buying them.

Apple products are elite and marketed to the elite class of the world.
Peasants have no business buying Apple products. They are "out of their network."

Picked up a SGS at a suburban Philadelphia store at lunch today--loving it so far! They seemed to be moving at a pretty good clip; 3-4 other folks were setting theirs up when I got mine.
