I can't wait to hear people explain again about how ever increasing retail presence is an indicator that the Apple Watch is doomed.

Didn't take long ;)

If B&H is selling them it means that Apple is liquidating them. All these retail outlets are likely getting the Apple Watches at very low wholesale prices. I think it's obvious that Apple seriously over-manufactured the Apple Watch and is now in damage control mode. The Apple Watch was not just a flop, but a debacle!

And no sales tax except for NY residents.

Now that is cool. I've bought a couple of iPads and a couple of MBAs from them with no 10% sales tax. One of these days the bean counters are going to close this loophole. They seem to sell Apple gear for a buck less than retail, but they usually throw in something free (like Parallels). I always check them before buying. Note, the store closes Friday afternoon and does open until either late Saturday or early Sunday. If they have what you want, it's usually fast, FREE shipping as well.

Heh, that's a little weird, but I guess B&H Photo does sell a fair bit of Apple gear, and has in the past. For those unfamiliar with B&H, they are a fantastic NYC photography equipment store. They have excellent prices and shipping on camera stuff (better than Amazon usually) and I've gotten a tripod and several lenses from them over the years ordering online. I've been meaning to stop in there the next time I get to NYC, but I don't think they'd be my first choice to get an Apple Watch at.

Great as long as you are not an employee there.

But is anybody buying them? That's the question. I am still to see a single Apple Watch in the wild in Toronto. I might consider version 2 if Apple Pay comes to Canada but it's not something on my wish list at the moment.
I work at MS and I've seen 4 Apple Watches in my building alone since April. I think that says something.

2015 has been a disappointment on the Apple front for me.

Apple Watch, meh, I work in an company with hundreds of engineers, not one Apple Watch to be seen. The watch has been in stock since it launched in my country.

Was going for a iPad Air 3, that didn't happen.

The enlarged iPad "pro", got not use for that, considering how much I use the iPad Air, it is not worth the money. The iPad Air is properly going to behind one year in upgrades as the iPad Pro is the new top line, kind of a big turn off for the Air models.

Was hoping for the skylake macbook pro, but that is out of the question in 2015 now. Seeing the iMac and they still make 16GB iPhones, I get a bad feeling about the skylake macbook pro, they are properly going to **** it up trying to upsell it or gimp it so they have something for the next update.

Spotify is way better than Apple music.

My grandma is faster than the new Macbook and would it hurt them to have given it two USB-C ports?

I usually don't buy the iPhone S versions, but I am excited for the Apple Upgrade Plan if the price is right. Who knows if that ever is going to be launched in my country, maybe in the year 2138.

Why does the airport extreme AC still have a fan? That whats keeping me from upgrading my N version, I am not interested in something constantly buzzing in the corner of my living room.

The only thing they have going for me is the Apple TV and only because providers can update their streaming apps themselves as needed.

Apple took too long to bring it out between announcement and actual release. It should have been released within a month of the 2014 iPhone 6 release or before 2014 holiday. And when the product finally came out it still needed more polish. Technology can't sit for months because of advancements in tech. The tech inside the watch is not 6 months old; it's closer to 14 to 16 months. Apple had already made the specs final in September 2014 and had the product in testing months before that.
The watch is not 6 months old.

They took just as long between announcement and release with iPhone and it looks like they took a similar approach with Apple Watch.

The extra "polish" you speak of, I'm assuming, is lack of native 3rd party apps but the iPhone didn't have 3rd party apps for over a year.

The tech inside Apple Watch is not old by any means. Force Touch, Taptic Engine and shrinking the tech to drive it was/is leading edge. You don't see any smart watches with all of Apple Watch's capabilities in a traditional 38mm (or any size) for a reason. Heck, you don't see some of Apple Watch's capabilities in most smartphones outside of Apple's latest gen.

Where Apple went wrong with the release IMO was lack of availability and confusing retail strategy and extremely slow rollout.

The Apple Watch was not just a flop, but a debacle!

Of course it was.
Even the biggest Apple blogger whores are saying they sold theirs.
When's the last time you ever heard of an Apple fan
selling a brand new device out of disgust just months after getting it?!?

Add to that, we should be seeing Apple Watch 2 right about now.
It was announced a year ago this month.
Where is it ...?

And we alll know who to thank for this, don't we ....

Unlike rolling it out in Target, I think this move makes sense. BH is a great vendor selling great products. I can see the synergy in this move.

Amazing, Apple is getting rid of the surplus at any cost, no one is buying Apple Watches. Expensive, needs to be recharged every day, navigation is clumsy, no good apps, you need an iPhone any way. Flop.

Got my first iPhone that I'm keeping until at least iPhone 7. Been a Android fanboi for years and while I do still love "pure" Android I wanted a change up.
But where is version 2? The watch is over a year old now (when it was announced). No way I'm shelling $400 for old tech.

Old tech? Give me a break.

Does B&H sell lots of Apple products? Never been to one..

Try searching on-line for them - bhphotovideo.com. Their products range from photography and video to TVs, computers - a lot of electronics at decent prices. Their specifications for cameras and lenses is unparalleled. It puts other big retailers to shame.

I sure wish I could understand what you mean. I think that more sales is a good thing. Better chance of success. B&H is a great sales outlet. Reliable. Honest. What possible objection could you have to them selling the watch? The Apple and watch haters of course will find a problem with B&H selling the watch. Maybe now I do understand. Sorry, but I have to call it as I see it. Not meant to inflame, but then neither was the comment being responded to? Correct?

Maybe honest to you, but not to many of their employees. B&H has had to settle with women and Latinos for openly discriminating against them in employment and now the vast majority of their warehouse workers are joining together to decry the unsafe working conditions there.

Agreed. However, I suspect it is the money grubbers / social engineers behind Tim Cook (no, not in that way) who are pulling the strings -- and his strings as well.

Because B&H has to answer to very serious allegations that they treat their female and non-Satmar employees like crap and fosters a dangerous work environment in the warehouse.

B&H Photo is now offering several different models of the Apple Watch, both online and in its retail store located in New York. Like other third party retailers that sell the Apple Watch, B&H Photo is only offering select Apple Watch stainless steel and Apple Watch Sport models.

With the Apple Watch in retail stores like Target, Best Buy, and B&H Photo, we may soon start seeing small discounts on the device. Each of these sites offers several other Apple products and they often have sales and deals available. With Black Friday approaching, it's possible there could be Apple Watch models available at lower prices.

The site is selling four different varieties of the stainless steel Apple Watch, offering the Black Stainless Steel model with a Black Sport Band in 38 and 42mm configurations and the Silver Stainless Steel model in 38 and 42mm configurations with a Product (RED) Sport Band, the Milanese Loop, and the White Sport Band.

Several varieties of the Apple Watch Sport are available, including Silver, Space Gray, Gold, and Rose Gold models with recent Apple Watch Sport Bands in colors like Midnight Blue, Antique White, Stone, Blue, and Lavender. B&H Photo is also selling Apple Watch charging cables and offering standalone Apple Watch bands.

Since August, Apple Watch availability has expanded to Best Buy, Target, and Sprint and T-Mobile locations.
