Apple Watch Order Statuses Shifting to 'Preparing for Shipment'

I'm sure they have some ready to go for developers though. Nice.

Nope, the *only* "perk" for developers, if you call it that, is that they can order a silver aluminum sport with blue sport band and receive it by the 28th for testing their apps.

That's it. No choice in models, and nothing for those who already ordered their choice on launch day and have been waiting.

I just ordered a charger and it immediately went into preparing for shipment. Fml

Anybody avoiding macrumors and 9to5mac? Trying to not see all the demos and unboxing?

I did see something that disappointed me:
Sport models come with a plastic charger:(

"order Now Exclusively Online" Unless you live somewhere where they have them in stock at some Cheeky Boutique store....

No charge. "Processing Items."

Toronto

:(

I still fail to understand why Apple would have barely any 42mm SS with BSBs ready to go for launch day.. Day of launch and I haven't even been charged. Ordered within 5 minutes of preorders. I'm sure they have some ready to go for developers though. Nice.

Developers only get to have the Sport Blue band.

Again....

42mm SS BSB
Ordered at 8:05am
No charge to card
No update on order status

Surely it doesn't take a scientist to predict that the cheapest model of the 'Apple Watch' would be one of the most popular choices!?!?

Haha, just what I'm doing :D

It wasn't great that this morning I was getting all these push notifications from IDB, 9to5mac etc all about "watch deliveries beginning" or "must have apple with apps" and stuff.

Still no updates from Apple on my watch either way, it feels like everyone else is getting progress but me

Seems Apple has forgotten about us brits!

I know right??!!

I wish I was at least charged and given a delivery date, I would be satisfied with knowing an exact date I'd be getting my damn watch, rather then be left in the dark for a 2 week period.

You want Apple to actually communicate with it's customers who are spending hundreds of pounds/dollars? Are you mad! Have you been drinking?!!!

Fix it Jesus! We need some clarity so we can move on! :)

I find it slightly ammusing all the people that are now "over" the watch. If you're so "over" the watch, then why are you here complaining about it? I tend to not give much thought to things I'm "over" with.

What I mean is I am "over" all the hype, I still want the watch and will no doubt be very happy when I get it but right now all the enthusiasm I have felt towards it since the first time I even heard Apple were working on a watch (over two years ago now) has pretty much fizzled out at this point.

Fair enough! Honestly my post was not directed solely at you. The last fews days there's been many people saying that their done with the watch and will not buy anything from Apple again. If that's the case, why are they still bothered about it. To those people, since they're not going to buy anything Apple again, why not start now by cancelling your watch order. Then the people that are still interested in the watch might get them a little sooner. It's a win-win for everyone!

Funny Thought... I'd be curious to know how many people had "Confirmed Apple Watch Preorders" for sale on eBay, that didn't get a watch today. I saw a ton of them on eBay as well as on our Local Classified ads, that advertised a "Confirmed Watch Preorder" that people could buy from them on launch day.

I understand where you are coming from but for many of us anger is a go to response. I doubt many would actually consider following through with their threats.

It's just sad that Apple pushed us to this point because of their abysmal handling of this entire affair. It could all so easily have been avoided had they been upfront, open and honest with us.

Finally got charged and "Preparing for Shipment" for my 42mm SG Sport, in Minnesota. Not happy that it wasn't here today, but it should be early next week, at least.

Weren't they upfront about it? Nobody ever said you would get your Watch on April 24th. It was "4/24-5/8". That's the best anybody got. As long as you get it before May 8th, they are holding up their end of the agreement. Nowhere did it say that you would get your before somebody else, who may have ordered after you, even if they ordered the same model/specs.
